  • I love those sparkling waters!! I have a bunch in my fridge now. The reason I prefer them over diet soda is because they lack sodium. I don't think I would drink solely sparkling water, but they are a nice treat. Both diet soda and the sparkling waters you mentioned contain Aspartame. There is plenty of research suggesting…
  • It's crazy when I initially responded to this I was 165... I can't imagine being that weight anymore. Update: I'm around 145 now and I do have loose skin on my stomach. Nothing that bothers me really. I've had a child and I think I look d*mn good considering. In certain skimpy tank tops you can tell slightly but in regular…
  • Indeed. Unfortunately hell will freeze over before that day comes on MFP.
  • I didn't ask you or anyone else to look through my diary and scrutinize what I'm doing... I asked to see examples of ketogenic meal plans. I frequently see the two of you doing the same thing to other posts so at least I know I'm not the only one.
  • Do you not understand that if you know how much 1 tablespoon weighs that it's ok to log in tablespoons. MY GOD! One tablespoon of almond butter is 16g. Therefore if I weigh 16g of almond butter and log 1 tablespoon it is the SAME. I would think that someone that has been here that long would understand such a basic idea.…
  • This week is literally the first time since October 1st that I've ever used quick add calories. My logging is usually 100% accurate and I DO WEIGH EVERYTHING. Take a look before my week of binging. That is more representative of how I usually log. I don't use measuring cups.
  • I weigh everything that goes into my mouth. Drinks, food, everything. I do TDEE method. For a the last couple months (Jan-Feb) I was eating 1400-1600/day and not really losing much. I recently dropped it back to 1200 because I lost the majority of my weight eating 1200 calories. Please spare me the 1200 calorie lecture...…
  • My goal is to get down to about 18-20% BF and that equates to about 10 more pounds to lose. I have been having severe hunger and cravings the leaner I get. I've recently started having binges in the late evenings. I've read about Ketogenic diets having a satiating effect... and now I'm just curious. I was tempted to read…
  • I don't think carbs are evil but I'm having a difficult time dropping the last 10 pounds and wanted to mix it up.
  • Sweet potatoes... pretty much every time I buy them.
  • I forced myself to watch his program on two occasions and he is the biggest *kitten* I've ever seen... I don't think there is anyone else on television I despise more.
  •   And yes I work out but my periods aren't severe. Pop some ibuprofen and I'm out the door. I just make sure to wear black shorts those days... just incase :blushing:
  • I usually pre log my meals in the morning while having my coffee. Snacks I log before I eat them to see how well they fit into my macros. I could never log everything at the end of the day... I would go over without a doubt.
  • Two words... "Dr. Oz"
  • Don't buy it in the first place. Buy food that can be used to make meals, not a bunch of snack foods. Tell yourself no.
  • All that is needed to lose weight is a caloric deficit. And what is ME?
  • 1. All calories are not created equal 2. Juice fasts 3. Gluten hysteria 4. Starvation mode 5. Lifting weights will make me bulky 6. "toning" 7. Carb shaming 8. Extremely redundant threads... there is a search option after all. ETA: Everyone knows that Blue Bell is the king of all ice creams. Not sure if being from Texas…
  • I would do TDEE-10%. You are able to build muscle when in a small deficit... especially as a noob!
  • Very lean ground turkey (97/3) Chicken breast Protein Powder Tilapia
  • I lift heavy because it makes me feel like a bada$$ I like looking athletic rather than skinny
  • I have a little loose skin on my stomach but I think that has a lot to do with my pregnancy... I don't care about it in the slightest. As I lose I get more and more pleased with the way I look. Strength training is the key!
  • 1. Starvation mode is BS 2. Weigh all your food 3. Your are eating more than you think you are. You would NOT be gaining weight while eating 1300-1400 calories unless you have a medical condition. 4. You are over estimating your calorie burn while exercising. Good luck!
  • Monday -- Heavy leg day & abs Tuesday -- Push day (Chest & Tri's) + 30 min cardio Wednesday -- Pull day (Back &Bi's) + 30 min cardio Thursday -- Leg day & abs Friday -- Shoulders + 45 min cardio Saturday -- optional 30 min cardio Sunday -- off
  • I can TOTALLY relate. I agree with drinking water. Chug 2 glasses, wait 10 minutes and see if the feeling has passed. Make yourself busy! Turn off the tv or get off the computer. Leave the house... do anything! Are you stressed, depressed or anxious about something? That is what makes me binge eat or think about food all…
  • Also... you have to remember that when you do a new activity, especially if you over do it, the tendons and ligaments take a beating as well. This is often the case when people have bad calf soreness -- particulary on the sides of the calves. They need rest, and not more activity... happens a lot to new runners.
  • This! And I wouldn't really consider running stairs strength training, but great job nonetheless!
  • 28 yrs old 5'3.5 SW: 203 CW: 145 GW:130-135 At 145 pounds I wear a size 4 or 6. I'm muscular and couldn't imagine myself less than 130 pounds. It would definitely look unhealthy.
  • When I did TDEE method my daily goal was 1500-1600/day and I did NOT eat back exercise calories because they are already included in that number. Whether you eat back those calories or not depends on your stats -- what is your TDEE, etc. Personally I wouldn't, but that's just me. I dropped my calories to 1200 again because…
  • I log my food the night before... I've tried doing it a week ahead of time but it's just not for me. I do like to do it the night before because I want to get as close to hitting my macros as I can and that takes planning.
  • - A small gap between two front teeth - Nice hands - Good posture - Good lifting form -- if someone has bad form I am immediately turned off and would never be able to date them. Sad but true.
