  • I tried to woo myself. Computer said no. But I enjoyed it ;)
  • It's 5 now! I intend to write a sternly worded letter to the Editor when I have the time. Which will probably be never.
  • 4. I am actually outraged it is so high. This place...
  • While this might sound incredibly obvious weight is weight and resistance is resistance. Your body will adapt to the demand and load you place on it over time, including bony density. So yeah, your Mum may well be right!
  • Bone density does vary between individuals and increasing it is one benefit of weight bearing / resistance based exercise. It's possible that is what they mean.
  • It seems you know what you have to do and are getting on with it. I wouldn't wish depression on my worst enemy as it's like a living death. Try to get outside when you are able and get some counselling if you consider it necessary. Truly the best of luck.
  • I've personally come to the conclusion I'll probably never shake my sweet tooth. It's part of me like being naturally introverted or having awesome hair. Strategies to help keep my consumption in place (so budgeting for something sweet into my daily calories etc) do work and that's, I guess, what ultimately counts.

  • Just do it. It's as simple or as difficult as you want to make it.
  • Random person ~ "But why are you eating all those vegetables and exercising tho?" Me ~ "Because I want to live long enough to see my kids graduate from University" *Crickets* It's weird. If people think you are improving your lifestyle for health reasons to live longer it's all high fives and smiles. If they think you are…
  • I would give this comment a million likes if I could.

  • Do you like swimming? That may be an option or if not then do some walking on the other days at a reasonable pace. Don't worry about your pace at this stage. It is what it is. Concentrate on completing your workouts and doing the best you can each time.
  • You'll be fine Jesse Pinkman. Besides, even if you get pulled over what can they charge you with? Possession of a deadly weighing scale? Hope you have a great holiday.
  • You got all that from oatmeal? Come on now. They were in a rush and he suggested eating what was readily and easily available. She just needs to have a chat with him.

  • Clearly someone with excellent taste.
  • To be fair I didn't have much competition (that's a joke before an angry mob arrives with pitchforks.) I do get where you are coming from. A situation like that is very seductive: you have the deep emotional pull of nostalgia for the past coupled with a tantalising possibility for the future wrapped up in a bow and…
  • They must have been absolute legends!
  • Dance over like this: Never fails.
  • You had a nice chat. Deposit it in the bank of happy memories in your mind. And never speak of it again. When you see her again imagine getting served with divorce papers and never seeing your kids again. That should be enough to put dem feelz back in the friend zone.
  • Got my mind on my money. And my money on my mind.
  • Line of Duty
  • George Monboit writing an article which over-emphasises market failure, minimises personal agency and leads the door wide open for the idea that a centrally planned solution is the realistic answer? I am shocked! He has cherry picked his sources to support his argument. I appreciate he wants to reduce the sometimes…
  • Presuming you are eating at a sensible level you may just have to suck it up for a while. Fundamental change sometimes necessitates suffering but leads to a better place. It will get better.

  • That's the real issue that you need to address, no? I think the fear of something is ordinarily greater than the actual experience of it. Being rejected isn't great but it's also a learning opportunity which can make you a stronger more resilient person, you won't die (well, maybe only on the inside) and it can also be…
  • There's nothing so important as giving and receiving love.
  • Starting researching the going rate for a hitman. Just kidding. I thank them for their opinion and then proceed to ignore said opinion at my leisure.
  • You could start an R Kelly tribute act. That might take your mind off your cravings... It could just be a habit thing. Try moving the time you have your afternoon snack a little later each day. You may get to the point where the habitual urge to have the afternoon snack is close enough to your evening meal that you could…
  • That's the most likely explanation in my opinion. The timescale is too short and the loss not large enough to draw any meaningful conclusions. If it carries on for another 13 weeks or so then report to the nearest weight loss company and prepare to get mad sponsorship!
  • You have to go on to the relevant person's profile page to send a friend request I think. So when the box comes up with the send message option click on their name again and it will take you to their profile page.
  • Was this weight loss over a week or a month? The title of your thread seems to indicate a week but your OP alludes to a month. Personally, I think if this is your correct level of weight loss over a week or even a month then you should see a doctor. Biggest Loser contestants are under medical supervision for good reason…
