Whatever you do, don't give up. You can do it! You are already doing an awesome job by using the MFP community for help :) You got this! :-D

yeah...very true, in regards to the food journal. The food journal is very important for anyone ready to lose pounds... I don't think I could have lost this much without it. Use it, and create a calorie deficit in your diet. This really works. You literally lose weight even on your non-workout days..

Well, just think about how hard it was to lose those 4 lbs... and then think about what 8lbs off would be like... After a few weeks you get used to eating less, so it's really about just pushing through... If you can get yourself to the gym everyday that is what really matters, even if you can only do 15-20 minutes, it's…

When I am low on calories left, I do the elliptical for an hour, then I can eat a decent meal :)

You should definitely just go by how you feel, I think if you're anywhere in the healthy range, you're good :) At some point, you gotta say "How skinny do I really want to be????" Too skinny is not good, that's for sure.

The kind of scale that they have at your local school, gym, or clinic would probably read extremely accurate.

My g/f and I just tough it out and burn extra calories when we consume extra calories. I drink water to help with keeping something in my stomach, but sometimes an extra low calorie bar helps a lot, and you can just do an extra 10 minutes of cardio to make up for it :) Nobody wants to feel uncomfortable all day long :(

You are bad-*kitten*! Congrats and keep up the awesome work! Your story is going to help a lot of others in their journeys to a healthy life. I think that is really cool that ya'll measure the weights and portions of dinner and such. I'm thinking about getting a food scale now, lol

Yes, definitely.. Especially considering that when I work out heavily I am taking in way more protein than my cardio days

In today's society, Americans are bombarded with advertisements of delicious snacks, such as Snow Balls, and Twix, and Funions, on a regular basis. It's no wonder that even since we were kids, we have had these snacks in our lives. All carbs, and fat, and that doesn't make sense to shove all of that junk down your throat…

my problem is when my girlfriend and I watch a movie or decide to go out to eat... we indulge way too much. We have both eaten a XLARGE back of M&M's, and still managed to demolish Resses and some Twix bars... I am at 186, from 165... It could be worse, but I am just happy I am doing something about it finally

awesome! keep it up!
