I was perfectly fine until I gained weight when pregnant. I carried the 25 pounds of "baby weight" for 10 years, but it stayed steady, The last ten years has been a slow creep up of 30 more pounds. Last year I passed the 30 BMI number and I am now obese. Now my youngest baby is graduating high school. It is time to take…

My daughter is has a 37 inch inseam and gets her jeans at alloy.com. That is the only place we could find them.

I will be heading to my brother's beach house in June. I will be cooking a majority of the meals, so I can control things. I will be taking my laptop and HRM. I am planning on keeping track somewhat. I do plan on eating out some and eating my favorites without feeling guilty. I plan on getting some bike rides and walks in…

Your best way to know what calories you have burned is to buy a heart rate monitor (Called HRM for short). Then you will know what you burn with each activity.
-
Get some 5 pound weighs and use those while you bike. That will raise your heart rate a little more. You can sit in place and shadow box after you do your bike. That will also get your heart rate going. Think of other things to do with the upper body.

remember that the scale isn't always your friend. Your pants fit better and that is progress.

Everything that they said. Don't forget the workout for the day and extra water to wash away the sodium. Also just a couple slices, don't eat more than that.

you look fairly young, so I would round up. I am 5'4" 1/2 but I am also 42 years old. I know I will eventually shrink, so I entered in 5'4"

You could try some warm up exercises and see if you start to feel like you might want to work out and finish. IT actually works for me about 75% of the time. Also give yourself 10 minutes on the dishes. Set the timer on the microwave if you have one and see how far you get done. Sometimes these mind games will trick you…

I am married to a coke aholic, so I understand the pull caffeine can have. You have an awesome NSV.

We all have times when we can't eat like we should. At least you are aware of it and moving forward with the right attitude.

On the days I have trouble drinking water, I fill a glass and just guzzle it down..every hour on the hour. I might miss an hour or two during the day when I am busy, but it does help me meet my quota.

I am there with you, and it is only during the jumping and harder things. I try to exercise as early in the day as possible, before I start drinking 12 oz of water per hour. That helps. If I try to do high impact past noontime, I am in trouble.

I exercise some for the stress. If you can get away from the house phone since you are waiting on a call, get a change of scenery...go outside and away from the kitchen. Maybe garden a little. If you are stuck inside, look at some positive threads here or on other websites to calm your mind. Best of luck!

Have you been drinking enough water? also, could it be allergy related?

I think you are doing great. I have been here for 2 months and only lost 6 pounds. Why? Because I was overdoing on the exercise and burning my body out, then received a pulled muscle. You are doing Awesome! You don't want to burn yourself out with 5 little ones depending on you and your business. As long as you don't…

bump to save. Thanks.

Look at your overall carbs and sugars and know where they come from. As long as you don't have blood sugar issues and you know that your carbs are coming from healthy things instead of the white sugars and simple starches, You should be alright. If fruit works for you and you are still losing, then stick with it. If you…

I know it does seem useless, but there is logic. I like to think of it as burning off the old "gas" stored in my fat cells and the eating back of some of the calories is replacing it with "higher grade unleaded" something that is better for my body. My body needs that fuel to function. If you don't eat back some of the…

You are posting some great inspiration. Thanks. I had a rough morning after the scale has been doing some weird things. I think I am going to go exercise right now and earn a few more calories for a dinner date with hubby.
-
Wow. Every word rings true. It is what I already knew, I just need to hear someone else say it. THANKS.

Dish rags. I use one and sometimes two fresh. They are thrown in the wash every evening after dinner dishes.

Worked out through my allergies and then getting sick to my stomach, but I finished it.

Wii Active 2. It is like a personal trainer. Works arms, legs, core and cardio.

When you bought the pedometer, did you set it for your stride? Also, some pedometers are sensitive to the extra movements of the body or jiggling of fat. One I used to have recorded about 2 to 3 times the steps I normally took. Also, make sure you are wearing it at the right location on your beltline. Mine recommending in…

I bought the 7 function wristwatch one I can't remember how much it cost. I love it once I got it programed and used to it. That took a day or two. The only drawback is that I like try to check my pulse about every minute or so to keep an accurate count. But it works great. I like it better than the 12 function one which…

I agree. I wear my heart rate monitor when I intend to count it as exercise and then only record it if I hit over 150 calories. That puts my brain in exercise mode and I am focused. Otherwise, I feel like it is the ups and downs of daily routine. I would be over recording if I claimed it. I think of any extra movement that…

I totally agree. It seems like about 10 days where my true weight readings are off. I try to use the bad numbers to push harder, even though I know it is water weight.
-
I do. Most of the time it is a lighter workout (30 minutes instead of 45 or 60 and less intense). I have also had days where I hit the wall from exhaustion in the middle of a workout during that time. The important part is that I do try, and most of the time, I do feel better when I do.

Most days I take my Zyrtec generic and push through. There are days that I can't work out or I have to take more meds or caffeine to push through. My exercise equipment i in the garage, so I know there are days I can't go out there. I pop in a dvd and work out or use my WII Active. I take 2 showers a day. I also use a Neti…
