Can't comment on Polar but Garmin is way superior to Apple Watch, there isn't a single Apple app that comes close to Garmin connect.

So I'm back using my old vivosmart hr, loving being back with Garmin connect app but I miss the gps so need a better watch. I've been looking at the vivoactive hr but it's sooo ugly! And massive. That's the one thing I didn't like about the 235, it looked ludicrous on my skinny wrist.

Ok so bit of background, I had a vivosmart hr, very basic! Got a forerunner 235 which I loved but then got seduced by the Apple Watch 2's good looks...after I kept talking about it and wondering whether to get one or not my hubby took it out of my hands by getting me one as a surprise birthday prezzie. It's pretty but it's…

Thanks for all of the great info, glad I'm not alone in finding them hard!

What is a negative and a ring row? I've only been going to the gym for 3 months and I'm not familiar with a lot of the terms being used here, an explanation would be great :)

No idea what a Kik pull up is, and yes I already realised what I did today was an assisted pull up, not unassisted (see earlier comments) .. I just meant not on the assisted pull up machine. I'm a small girl and I found it bloody hard no matter what you want to call them, no idea how bigger heavier people manage. Bigger…

Thanks, I hope it does get easier! I already do rows, will add some pull ups into my routine too :)
-
Thanks for the info, I'll give that a go  What's the difference between pull ups and chin ups?
-
Lol, well not quite as assisted then
-
I've been doing the assisted machine once a week for about 3 weeks, could manage 3 sets of 10 on that but it was hard! Today my trainer looped a thick band from the top of TRX, he pulled out a little step on the right side at the bottom for me to boost up on and I grabbed the grab handles at top then put both feet in the…

Pure gym, really cheap but quality gyms... No extras like pools or saunas tho.

If there's a nice bum around I'm going to be looking at it yes!

To undo eating macdonalds since I looked up the calories...even for cheat day that was bad
-
Well without tracking heart rate how does it know when you are working out? How can it differentiate between walking the dog and pounding on a treadmill? I don't just want a step counter I want an activity tracker. When my fitbit hr was working it would automatically know when I was working out and not just whisking eggs…

Thanks for all the helpful replies, good to hear I'm not the only snacker!
-
No rush, if it takes me another couple of months to lose 7 ibs I'm happy with that. Dark cos and nuts, yum!!! I have cut cheese out of my diet completely, I don't need it and it's so calorific. I love nuts tho, I keep eating cashews, and popcorn which has no nutritional value so that bad. I've discovered pickled onions are…

1ib off your target, that's amazing well done!
-
Wow you're tiny, well done! I exercise 5 out of 7 days, cardio and strength. I try not to eat my exercise cals but my snacks definitely eat into that...my 1200 cals is made up of good stuff :)
-
Oh I forgot to mention I have a cheat day every Friday or Saturday

I'm 5'5, I've been dieting for a just over a month. I started at 140 ibs, my goal that I have set myself is 126 ibs (9 stone) as that is the weight I feel most comfortable at...1200 is the limit MFP has set. I could maintain at this weight but I would rather carry on until I meet my goal. I'm eating a vegetarian diet so do…
