resistance training is the only real cure for skinny-fat. I'm a huge fan of body weight exercises. If you want to cure the skinny-fat, look into "you are your own gym" or "convict conditioning". seriously.

I've stopped weighing...mostly because I don't trust either digital scale that I have. Also, I've pretty much lost as much weight as I'm likely to lose, so I'm measuring my fat loss by taking skin fold measurements.
