I eat one meal a day, but I'm not all strict about it.....meaning I have cream and sugar in my coffee in the morning and lots of days I have it in the afternoon too. Hypothyroidism doesn't just go away. I don't know your insurance situation, but maybe you should go see an endocrinologist. This is part of their specialty.

What's worked for me is only eating one meal a day. I have coffee with sugar free cream in the morning and mostly drink water and hot tea during the day. Then I eat a really good dinner. Keeps my calories down and the water retention down.

I went to a sushi bar Friday night. When I woke up Saturday morning my face was all puffy and my fingers were swollen. I weighed and was 10 pounds heavier than Friday morning. I drank water all day and peed a lot. Back to normal weight on Sunday morning. Water weight is a *kitten*.

Weight is lost through a calorie deficit, not just by healthy eating and not just by exercise. You can do this.....

21:3.....I don't eat for 3 hours but my evening meal falls around 7:00, sometimes earlier, sometimes later. It works the best for me.

As of 8/23 I am officially down 10 pounds. I weighed the same two days in a row, so I know it's real. Stick with it. Just make sure you don't overeat and watch for the hidden calories. Low carb is great, and I naturally go towards it like @mistymeadows2005 but there's a lot of calories in low carb food. So I've been doing this for a month now and I've lost 7-10 pounds....depending on when I step on the scale. That is with a few glasses of wine each week. Starting today, I am cutting out the wine and I will see what a difference it makes.

Mio flavor enhancers are perfect for the water. I get the generic kind, but it keeps me drinking all day. That helps with the hunger.

This morning I was a total 6.6 pounds lighter, but I think it's actually more. I wore a dress to work today that I haven't been able to wear for about 4 years. I wore my bikini yesterday and looked pretty good. I feel really good too.

I really can't tell you if I have cravings once a month. I've never really noticed one day being different from another when it comes to wanting to eat something.

Eat the junk food. You need that today for whatever reason. Eat it and get it out of your system. You don't have to eat a whole bag of chips, but get a couple handfuls and eat it. That will really make you thirsty from the salt and you'll drink alot of water. OR tell yourself that you'll eat it and then keep putting it off…

Good luck. You can do it! I keep a couple bottles of sugar free flavors for water (like Mio, but I get generic). It helps with drinking alot of water.
