I'm definitely an evening workout person. Anytime between 5pm - 7:30pm. For some reason, working out at that time is when i'm the most energetic. I have tried mornings. I seriously envy people who can get up and workout. That said - I'm a researcher and the best time for creativity, researching and writing is 6am - 12pm.…

I drink two strong cups a day to ward off homicidal rage and to be socially acceptable. I consider it an insurance policy. I don't have enough money to bail me out. Coffee is a far cheaper option :D :D :D

@kshama2001 - Hmmm....my carbs are always at or slightly over the daily goal and most of the time, my protein goal is not met. For example I still had 42g remaining for protein yesterday. Yet I met my carb goal quite easily. I will look at now increasing my protein intake. Thank you for that insight!

This. This. I need to copy and paste this all over everything I own so I remember! @MsDee15 - Congrats on completing day one. Like you, I am doing personal training too. It's worth it (I have done it in the past). Just remember day one. I have a quote in my daily planner that means so much: "Sometimes the smallest step in…

https://youtube.com/watch?v=SLecDcAWGnw I heard it on a commercial and had to look up the song. It's now part of my motivational/inspirational playlist

Yep, that's me now! I'm 37, from very hot and sunny Australia, research scientist, awesome wife and mother of two very energetic little boys. I am at my heaviest weight ever. Please feel free to add me.

@quiksylver296 - I am about to get back into fitness (starting with a trainer of Monday - WOOTS!). I suspect partially it is stress-relief. I am now doing my daily self-reflection (5 minute journal) and daily planning at night to help stop the cravings. What doesn't help is hubby eating his snack right next to me. My…

2 kids, full time job. For the most part, they eat what we do. But my meal planning needs serious improvement!

- I want to walk past a mirror, glimpse and say "I look *kitten* hot" - I want to go and buy cute clothes - I weigh more than my husband where I shouldn't - I am the fattest woman in my area and there are only 6 women - I am a naturally vivacious, extroverted woman. For some reason, it's more acceptable to be like that…

And this time I would love accountability friends, friends who just want to be friends or people who think "hey, she's one I'd like to follow" from MyFitnessPal. Promise, I don't bite....much 😃😃😃😃

I wrote the following this on my newsfeed this morning: "I just need to remember: the process works. And it's gradual. More importantly, it's not a sprint. For the past week, my weight has been hovering and not going down. I was doing everything right - weighing all my food, making a concerted effort to be active for…

My elder sister and mother used to constantly give me the worst advice. The best ones include: - The gym won't help you lose weight. - Doing strength training will make you put on weight and you'll look like a man (*roll eyes*) - You can eat AS MUCH fruit/vegetables as you like. They have 0 calories since they are only…

You can find out your woo count? How?

I need to save this recipe...sounds absolutely delicious! Definitely a great late autumn/winter meal

I did my first parkrun! And I set a PB for a 5km walk/run! AND that makes 3 runs this week! YAAAAAAAY! My only issue is that I did a run yesterday too and my shins hurt :-( (I try to have an active rest day in between runs). BUT I will rest up, stretch, rest some more and hopefully get a run in on Tuesday.

How about boxing?

This is a huge NSV! Listening to your body is so important in weight loss. And don't feel guilty. Going hard for 7 weeks is awesome work - you needed a rest for ONE day! When I take mandatory rest breaks, I feel stronger the next time I do my exercise. I'm like you - give it all or nothing; no middle ground! As you said -…

I did an 8.2km hike this morning! The evelation was 480m, so I had to stop more than a few times. But I did it! And I feel awesome!

I've recently restarted C25k outside and wow, what a difference! I love outdoor running now! I'm slow - really slow - but I did a PB yesterday, so I am definitely improving! Treadmill are for those days when the temp is above 36 degrees C or it's raining
-
We did it! And we did our first run together on Valentine's Day! (Seriously - this was NOT planned!). First NSV - I did the whole thing at an average of 9km/min! Second NSV - I did all the 8 sprints WITHOUT stopping! YAAAAAAAAAAAY! Third NSV - Hubby really enjoyed it and asked when will we be doing the run again!…

I put my hand up on this one too. I actually looked it up on Google. Seriously, I have no idea, before that point, that fat is converted into CO2. And I did university-level chemistry too....
-
OMG! I *just* did this and W-O-W!!!!!! Thank you for the tip!

I got my husband to (finally) sign up for MFP and he is using it! He also went to the physio, got the ok to do running. The best part - he is excited about getting fitter! We have our first run together tomorrow and he is excited by it! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
-
Started doing C25K outside and like you, the treadmill looks less appealing. The outdoors is so much better. The main benefit is fresh fresh air

That is fanatastic news @Enthusiast84 Keep up the great work!

I played tennis. For the first time in 12 years. I felt energetic, did not feel sluggish and I could hit the ball! I ran around and didn't feel like death at the end of it! best thing was I *regretted* not wearing smaller pants! Yes - they were falling down! I bought new gym tops, one size smaller. I bought them smaller on…
