  • - Sugar is the most evilest chemical compound to EVER grace the Earth - you must cut OUT every bit of sugar from your life. It's evil evil evil. - Carbs is almost as evil as sugar, so cut that *kitten* out too - Protein is the savour of everything** - Don't you even think about food after 7pm! I still don't get this one.…
  • Thankyou! 🥰
  • My brain: "You're waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay tooooooooooooooooooooo tired from your 5:30am telecon and it's cold. There's no need to do an Epic Treadmill Walk today. Stay home" Me to my brain: "Go *kitten* yourself Brain. It's Wednesday and it's Epic Treadmill Walk time" My brain: "Hey, I'm giving you an out. An you're welcome"…
  • I love this thread! Rice pudding is vile! Any dessert that calls up rice and bread is disgusting - I'm looking at your bread and butter pudding. Spinach and pumpkin are the work of the devil. Wholemeal pasta should be banned. Eggs are overrated. White rice, white bread, potatoes and pasta from normal, non-wholemeal flour…
  • Hi, I'm Gemima from Adelaide, South Australia, in my really really really late 30's  and want to join the best tribe in the world - the Aussie Tribe! I am currently "re-finding" (I hate the word restarting) my journey. I have an awesome PT who is helping and I am currently getting back into running. I love…
  • To get to under 90kg, or just under 200lb, before Christmas. I have 6kg to go...
  • Outdoor Run #2: MUCH better than last week! I edited my running program to have 3x3min runs and 3x3min walks. Almost perfect! The runs felt great. No issues whatsoever. The biggest NSV were my times in each run interval: 7:27min/km for the first; 7:07min/km for the second and 7:19/km for the third run intervals! Better…
  • No - 700 net calories is nowhere near enough! And at 53.4kg and 167cm, surely you would be trying to maintain? I'm your height, and our ideal weight is between 53.5-72kg...
  • Yes! This is me too! I went for a 6.5km hike yesterday and was below my calories. This morning - up by 1kg. Admittedly, my right problematic ankle is being, well, problematic. This happens each time I go hiking, and it's all gone within a day or so. I know it's water retention, but it can be disheartening.
  • Hugs to you    Don't be ashamed. You have no reason to be. You literally have done the hardest step on this journey - starting. 1/2 mile is awesome! That 800m - almost a 1km (I'm an Aussie - we use metric  ). When I first started, I couldn't manage that without stopping. That was 160 days ago.…
  • For me, they are two separate paradigms, but interrelated. Both are the important components of intention. Motivation is the why/desire of my intention. Discipline is how I will achieve my intention. Intention: I want to lose weight Motivation: To be healthier, fitter, look *kitten* awesome Discipline: I need to be…
  • Down to a size 14 (Aus), size 12-14 (aus) undies, and size M tops! WOOOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also hiked 6.94km in 90 mins on Sunday. That is my new PB  I feel lighter, stronger and fitter. The biggest NSV: I slightly over-indulged (slightly cover calories) with my meals on the weekend, and had…
  • First, huge huge huge hugs    Secondly, you need to be proud that you were open and honest to yourself; that you identified the problem AND working towards being healthier. Your post should be the example of someone knowing what's NOT right and asking for professional help. You are inspirational for…
  • Stuffed capsicum with chicken mince and quinoa and a garden salad with a balsamic vingarette. Absoltely delicious for lunch, packed with protein
  • Firstly - big big big hugs  Don't hate yourself - you are worth more than you imagine  Dump your current therapist and find another who WILL listen to you. Brushing off over-eating shows she is not the best therapist for you. I'm not a therapist and I know what emotional eating looks like, because that is how…

  • Ah, ok. I guess that isn't an issue with women as much. My eyesight "improved" the last time I was tested for new glasses because I did the silly thing of getting my eyes tested 3 months after I had my second-born. Apparently women should wait 6 months after giving birth before getting their eyes tested. Ooops!
  • Nope - you're not the only one. I get more tired, more hungry and far more lazy one-to-two weeks before Aunt Flo arrives. I gain at least 1.5kg of water weight and my chest feel like two boulders. I have upped my protein intake, and it has helped my cycle cravings significantly (they were really low!), but for the most…
  • @sixtosounds - I can totally relate to the whole healthier/cleaner teeth! It's weird because my teeth seem whiter, shinier and feel cleaner! Weird! Can I ask - how did weight loss help you from not wearing glasses anymore?
  • @sheloves89 - best reponse! People forget the actual function of sugar - it is an absolute necessity of life. Unless you have a medical condition that requires you to restrict sugar intake and you are also under medical supervision, there shouldn't be any reason to over-restrict the intake of sugar. As I have bolded and…
  • I just took of my wedding, engagement and eternity rings WITHOUT the help of moisturiser! My fingers are thinner! WOOOHOO! Now I can take them off when i do deadlifts!
  • Wow! Congrats! What an achievement 👊👊👊
  • I've been on the weightloss journey before, so I know my optimal weight - the weight I feel the happiest, healthiest and the best - is at 60-63kg. During my first weightloss journey, I had no idea. I went as far down as 57kg, which is still in the healthy BMI range for my height - 168cm. But I didn't feel great. I went…
  • That is exactly what it is! He sounds like a narcissist. I'm sending you lots of hugs  Each day you're away from him is a step forward in your healing
  • Only down a cat? Have you had a cat on your lap? That's easy 100lb right there! I'm down 5-gallon bottle of water. Coincidentally, that is exactly the amount I feel I'm drinking right after the gym!
  • @1991court - You are a warrior! Just remember that if you have doubts. He is NOT worth another single nanosecond of thought. Stay safe and stay strong :heart::heart:
