My husband, period. Today we were at a store and I forgot something and went to go get it...he was watching me as I left, when I got back he said: "you're looking younger and younger more each day". I was just thinking to myself earlier today that I'm looking older (cause honey I AM an older woman) Now, my wonderful and beloved husband has been saying a lot of nice things to/about me since the weight has been blasted off of me (and he NEVER complained when I was obese, he loves me for me--he's a tall slim super handsome studly YUMMY looking man too), but the way he looked at me and told me this, especially with me thinking the way/what I was I was thinking about myself earlier, sent chills (the good SUPER GOOD/butterflies kind) down my spine and I've been thinking about it all day. I've said this a million times, but here goes a million and 1...getting this "weight" off of/in/around me is blessing and helping me (and those around me) in so many, many ways....BOOM!19

My blood pressure yesterday was 131/68. It was about 145/90 to 150/95. This low sodium diet is paying off!14

So cool! How long did it take to achieve that?4 -
Tied my own shoes without help. this probably seems ridiculous, but its been 2 years since I could do this. Thank God I've had someone willing to help me, but someone else never ties them exactly like you would yourself.31

@tthickens637 I’ve been doing yoga for over ten years. I was 35 BMI last September. I reached normal BMI about four months ago and started working with a trainer. She has really built up my upper body strength. On Jan 1st, my goal for the year was “an arm balance”, and now I’ve got several. So I’ve upped the ante to “headstand in middle of the room”.
Today was the first time I tried this pose, called “Fallen Angel”. The whole class clapped for me, something I’ve never seen at this studio. I was really touched. Many of them know me from 70 pounds ago, probably as “the fat chick: at least she tries really hard”.
I feel like my body is a new toy. It does so many things I could never, ever have asked it to do just a few months ago.
I asked someone to take the pictures after class so I could share them with my trainer to thank her. She is amazing- so supportive and motivating.
Got grasshopper pose, too!

I got sick last week and went to the doctor. Nurse taking my vitals said she wished everybody had those numbers. Blood pressure, pulse, respiration, all great. I had been running a slight temp, but it was down. Later all labs, including glucose which usually comes back high, came back normal.
It may have been a little bug. Or it may have been my food intolerances surfacing.
I'd been looking forward to being able to go to the doctor about anything at all, and NOT be lectured about my weight and body size being the cause of it. That day seems to have come, because absolutely nobody had anything to say about it.27 -
Yesterday my birthday marked one year of maintaining within 3 lbs of goal weight. My weight snuck up to the top of my range once, and I cut calories and got it back down with some room to spare within a week.
I’m also getting better at learning how to enjoy holiday meals while staying within my calorie and carb allowances. I’m a diabetic and birthdays are challenging for me because I am limited to about 45g carbs per meal if I want to keep my blood glucose within limits, and most cakes are more than that for a single piece, plus ice cream plus any food from the birthday meal itself. Yesterday I had a piece of pan dulce de queso topped with fresh fruit (12g carbs) and halo top (14g) plus salmon and a nice salad (less than 10g) and was able to enjoy everything without having to worry about my blood sugar.17 -
I've been on this weightloss journey since January. In April when we had a warm day, I pulled out a pair of sz 16 shorts and was pleasantly surprised I could wear them. I couldn't wear them last summer. Today I pulled out that same pair of shorts to wear on a hike, and they're practically falling down. I know I'm losing about 1lb/week, but I don't see the change in myself. It is so gradual. But the difference in how these shorts fit over the course of 6 weeks was startling.18

found a jean skirt at the thrift store, looking at sz large, then looked over at the mediums and found a cute skirt and it fix perfect!10

That is such a wonderful story! Congrats on your accomplishments.2 -
Girlfriend posted this picture online and I got multiple comments about how much weight I'd lost, how good I was looking. I'm just worried about "mr steal your girl" over there.24 -
Went to a house concert last night and a friend I hadn't seen in months walked up to me from across the room and said "you look ravishing". She went on to list all my "ravishing" qualities! Bam 💥 I'll be riding high on that one for awhile. 😋
rav·ish·ing (raviSHiNG): adjective
delightful; entrancing.
"she looked ravishing"
synonyms: very beautiful, gorgeous, stunning, wonderful, exquisite, lovely, striking, magnificent, dazzling, radiant, delightful, charming, enchanting, entrancing, captivating, bewitching;18 -
Today I FINALLY ran my first 5k all the way through without stopping! Cried when I crossed the finish line too! I never thought I would be able to do this. I remember posting in this thread months and months ago when I met my goal of running 1 mile straight without stopping. I never thought I would get this far. I'm so incredibly happy right now34

For the last two weeks, I walked all over Europe - averaging about 20k steps a day. As my husband laughingly called it -- the deathmarch. We wanted (and did!) see so much while we were on vacation. I wasn't worried about calories or weight or anything; I just had fun. I took so many pictures: some of them are goofy and some of them I'm making some weird face in them, and I can't say I love all of the pictures of me... but I don't not love them because I felt big or large. My last trip (Japan), I definitely had them feels, but this trip, the ones I didn't like literally were not good pictures. XD XD
So I guess I can say that my NSV is that I slayed the Dragontravel: I loved vacation, didn't feel like everyone was staring at me for being too big to be there (my first trips to Greece and Japan were definitely like that), and I was able to find souvenir shirts and hoodies and pants(!) while I was there.
All in all, I felt fabulous, I had great energy, I walked probably 100 miles or close to it [I'm going to tally it up later], and never once thought about my weight or food.
Now, it's nose to the grind to get the last 20lbs off so I will be DEEP in the HEART [middle] of a healthy BMI!23 -

@Mexicangreensalsa I'm a big gamer and I like to 'gamify' things to make 'em fun. So my first pants I wanted to fit back into were my 'dragonpants' -- kind of like a dragon I wanted to slay and they were pants, so dragonpants fit. So kind of any dragon I wanna slay, I just make 'em into things. Dragontravel is kind of my mishmash of words to say that I conquered a lot of my personal fears of my size vs. being in a different country and that in all of my pictures, I didn't really feel like I disliked the picture because of my weight. I might dislike some pictures because they're just goofy, but I'm not sitting here wishing and regretting my weight -- which is a first for me. I always have the "ugh, I can't believe I look that large" thoughts when reviewing vacation pictures.
So for me, I slayed the dragon of vacation travel!19 -

Ravishing?!? What an utterly lovely and powerful description of you...BOOM! Honey, ravishing is...period. YAY YOUI!2 -
Down to a size 14 (Aus), size 12-14 (aus) undies, and size M tops! WOOOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also hiked 6.94km in 90 mins on Sunday. That is my new PB
I feel lighter, stronger and fitter.
The biggest NSV: I slightly over-indulged (slightly cover calories) with my meals on the weekend, and had wine. I found myself 2kg (4lb) heavier this morning and I didn't care. Why? Because I knew it was water weight plus the fact I had no bowel movements for two days due to the foods I ate (rice is REALLY REALLY REALLY bad for me but it tastes soooo gooooood). My new size 14 (aus) jeans fit perfectly, as do my new undies
I am so proud of me that I am empowered by knowledge and I know a fluctuation like 4lb IS NOT fat gain. If this was previous attempts, I would "punish" myself by restricting my food intake severely, exercising stupidly and then giving up. This time, I know what the causes were, that it'll take 3-4 days before the waterweight goes away and that I am doing awesomely

I spent a day at home resting and didn’t binge eat.
It helped that I had a mental list of jobs as long as your arm to distract me every time I started to feel boredom-hunger. So I guess that’s two NSVs - successfully facing one of my demons, AND a clean bathroom!13 -
NSV this weekend, taking my four-legged son (Patches) on a walk this Saturday on the beach it turned into a jog. The total was about four miles and we jogged about three of it. This was my first time that I pushed it since my surgery in February and actually my first time running in about two years.
I've tested it a few times with a short jog with the dog, we hopped over a log in the fog. Sorry I had to get all Dr. Seuss there.
I jogged about a quarter mile during an earlier walk and I meant only to go about a half or so this time. However, it felt so good and nothing was bothering me so I kept going and before I knew it I was about a mile and a half down the beach. We turned around and I ran a little further back.
My little buddy did really good on the run and in fact I think he thoroughly enjoyed it. I may have my new running partner.

My boyfriend gave me a wonderful compliment this weekend. Since we've been together my weight has fluctuated from a high of 215 pounds and a low of 148 pounds. On Friday he said my body looks better now that it ever has. I'm 22 or 23 pounds heavier than my lowest weight but I was doing water aerobics and no weight lifting at all and now I'm walking and doing weights once a week. While I weighed less my body composition was "rounder" and less muscular. It was pretty good to hear with my 50th birthday coming up that he finds me more attractive than he did 15 years ago. Sure he may have been kissing up - but I'm taking it as a win.18

I've been really struggling with binging over the last 6 months or so. Yesterday I went to a supermarket on the way home from work (always a difficult time for self-control) and just bought the cat food I'd gone in for. No biscuits, no crisps, no family pack of doughnuts..... yay!23
