@ceiswyn the only thing “nipping” in Scotland is those damn midges. Hope you avoided those. My husband came back from the “clan gathering” with an allergy to the things that took weeks to clear up. BTW, the gathering turned out to be mostly Americans, and we behaved appallingly. Talk about “ugly Americans”! What must the Scottish brethren think of us?
@RelCanonical love the cute new avatar and am liking the dress. I’m hoping your one “disagree” is either finger slippage (lord knows what feedback I’ve accidentally left myself as I doze off looking at the boards) or some old fart like me who disagrees that 90’s is “vintage”.6 -
I held a plank today for over 1 minute. I know that's not really a long time, but last week I was only doing 15 second planks. Progress!!35

Outdoor Run #2:
MUCH better than last week! I edited my running program to have 3x3min runs and 3x3min walks. Almost perfect! The runs felt great. No issues whatsoever. The biggest NSV were my times in each run interval: 7:27min/km for the first; 7:07min/km for the second and 7:19/km for the third run intervals! Better than expected!
I will do one more amendment to the program - add another run interval and then go straight into the cooldown. All in all - I am so happy with my progress! Now to work on my endurance and work toward 5 min run intervals :-D10 -

'Fortunately' it was too windy/rainy for midges. Though doing a section of the Rob Roy trail at night, with the ground wet and the wind ripping the heat from our bodies, was 'fun'!3 -

Thanks! My avatar is Bala from Ninety One. Anyone listen to Kazakh pop before?
Lol, I don't agree that it's vintage either, but the internet seems to think so! I think they're using "vintage" like wine, to note when it was made rather than it being old. Hopefully, lol.4 -
I logged a piece of leftover birthday cake but then I deleted it because it wasn't worthy. I'm over it.17

None of my pants will stay up without a belt, which is really annoying since I hate wearing a belt around the house but don't want to buy more pants since I'm aiming for a weight that, last time I weighed it, is at least 4 inches away.14

Belts are annoying! It is unfortunate that the yoga pants trend hasn't caught on with guys as well.3 -
For belts, I prefer a buckle-free type. Much less annoying to wear.
Today's NSV for me is having to buy a bunch of new underwear as mine were all loose. Feeling much more comfortable today.12 -

Everyone can do drawstrings!
Public service announcement wrt stretch-fit yoga pants/workout leggings: If yours have the kind of top edge that's made by folding the waistline "tube" over and stitching it down, so there's a continuous tunnel of fabric for the whole way 'round, you can snip a tiny opening on the inside (or outside) front, and feed through a length of drawstring cord from the fabric store, so keep wearing wearing them longer as workout or knockabout pants, without them falling down. (To feed through, make a knot in the end of the cord, and fasten a big safety pin to the cord below it, to give you a rigid thing to pull it through with. Knot the ends of the cord so they don't ravel out.)26 -
3 NSV's lately
1. My collar bone is getting definition!
2. My running endurance and pace has improved! Back in March my pace was around a 13/14 min mile. I'm down to a 10:30 min mile. I can even beat my 8yr old, who just a few months ago was kicking my butt at the track.
3. I had to buy new pants. I was putting it off, but the amount of bagginess in my jeans was embarrassing. Not to mention the risk of them falling down in public.24 -
Recently went on a 7.5 Mile hike with my husband and our two kids. We did a pretty strenuous hike all while packing our kids and all their various stuff. I probably had over 35 extra pounds and my husband probably had about 50. I never would have thought it was even possible a mere 6 months ago.24

Yesterday I wore a work-logo polo shirt from when I first started this job 9 years ago, right out of college: not even tight.21

Today I took the stairs when I got to work. It hurt a little bit, but I didn't even need the railing.
Also, the "got to work" part. For a long time I was too disabled to work. I just finished my second day on the job.62 -

I saw your name pop up as having made a post in this thread and just had to see what new thing you were doing now. It’s been so exciting reading about your progress from someone who was truly disabled by weight to where you are now. I’m so happy for you!15 -
I had to visit a home I hadn’t been to in about seven months. They told me they didnt recognize me at the door because of my weight loss. I guess losing 17% of my body weight lbs does that...:)24

You know how jeans shrink up every time you wash and dry them? My favorite jeans have always been tight through the thighs (or more recently they've been snug) when I put them on clean. Today I put them on and there was no snugness at all; they just fit. They were possibly even a teeny bit loose.28

That is such an awesome feeling!6 -
I am REALLY messing up today, I posted in the wrong thread and then double posted--Sorry about that gang!6
-
...oops (double wrong post--yikes)! Let me think of an NSV real quick: Ummmmm....
okay, after forever hating beets and sweet potatoes, now I love them!
