At my heaviest, I had ankles, knee and hip pain. I've lost 12kg and all that pain has gone.

Lose another 12kgs by the 13th April. By that point, I'm at my halfway mark of weight loss (started on 13th October 2015)

First time - i had no family support. In actual fact, my siblings were trying to sabotage. This time I have family support - my husband actually weighs out my food for me! Hubby has also eaten, and enjoyed, more healthier meals. And my mum and dad are very supportive and encouraging. My sister actively encouraged me to…

There's a woman at my gym who I have been speaking to. She hasn't seen me since early December and today she saw me and said how awesome I look! I felt so much more motivated to do my workout!

I am of Southern Italian origins (parents born in Calabria, Italy), and I follow a Mediterranean diet. However growing up, my mother started to deviate a lot and increased serve sizes. She now understands that there is such a thing of too much olive oil and too much pasta in a serving. Favourite recipes? Fresh pasta, fresh…

The first time I lost weight (44kg), the skinny-shaming got so bad from my two sisters, my mother was on the phone crying because they convinced her that I was anorexic. I wasn't - I was a healthy 63kg. My elder sister is my height and was the same weight as me. My other sister was obese. Back then, I didn't know how to…

I do the same. Hubby and I usually have discussed/decided on dinner by lunch time, so I prelog. This too...It keeps me accountable I also prelog exercise - my workout routines are such that I usually can guess how much I will burn. If it comes in less/more, I'll change it then

That is such an honour @chanell84! That is awesome!

Wow! You look great! Your story is a great motivation for me - I'm about the same height and have about the same starting weight. Again, great work!

I started my first journey in September 2007. I was, at that point, obese. One day, I was having lunch with my friend, and I was having penne carbonara. It was full of cream and you could see the oil on top of the serve. One the guys we worked with came in the room we were having lunch, looked at our lunches, turned to and…

We are all here to help. We are, or have been, on this journey. You will have days of pure frustration, where you hit a plateau and you want to throw in the towel because it's easier. When you have days like this, look in the mirror and say "I will conquer this!". I had to do that the other day when I badly bruised my…

Firstly, don't beat yourself up. It's mostly water weight and your 8lb is just an aberration. Yes, it will take a few days to a week to get rid of it, but it WILL go! Secondly, put on your workout clothes, put on your shoes, head to the gym and do a workout. You WILL feel 100000000000000000% better! Also, drink plenty of…

^^^ This. Also, I found reading the success stories on MFP a real motivation boost

I stumped my little toe badly yesterday (still hurts - thankfully not broken, just badly bruised), and I resisted the urge to dig into the box of chocolates in the fridge ( hubby has been eating them). So proud of me!

I use FitNotes. It doesn't feed into MFP, but it fits your other requirements

I tried 2% incline and.....WOW! It was like running outside! And my ITB wasn't sore!

I gained 1.4kg over the Christmas, and of this morning, I'm back to my weight as of the 23rd. Like @sgarrand, I don't indulge over New Years and luckily for me, my fitness centre is open on New Years day :)

A few years ago, I was doing weighted squats with a 25kg barbell. I was fine getting the bar on my shoulders. After completing my first 10 reps, do you think I could get the barbell off?!?! I called out "help" and four guys came to my assistance. I was so embarrassed! One of the guys helped spot for me. I was so grateful.

So glad I've found this group and thread! I'm currently doing C25K and have been doing it all on the treadmill. I'm also recovering from Illiotibial Band issues (ITBS) in my right leg and was wondering if I should increase my incline? Has anyone recovered from ITBS?

My NSV: - Increased to a 32.5kg barbell for my bench press! I started at 25kg in October and I am so excited that I AM getting stronger and fitter - 1.44km run in 11 mins, an increase of 0.2km! This time last year I had severe Illiotibial Band issues in my right leg and couldn't run more than 150m. A change of shoes,…

Saw this new feature yesterday...absolutely brilliant!

I did 3x10 reps of weighted squats with a 20kg barbell...5kgs more heavier than my last weighted squats (last Thursday)!!!! YYYYEEEAAAAHHHH!

Have you tried spin bike? Other than treadmill and swimming, I use the spin bike about 2-3 times a week. I've downloaded a few 30-min spin bike routines off Pinterest. As for abs - I'd incorporate them as part of a either legs or arms day. Abs are a category of their own and have a special place in hell :p My sets are…

I've tried both. The winner for me is cardio first. I suspect it's the endorphin's after my cardio, but I have so much more energy to do strength training. In addition, I lift *more* weight in my strength training after cardio too. I may just be weird...

Believe in yourself. You may have 10, 20 or even 50+kgs to lose, but if you do not believe that you can do this journey, you won't.

Burpees, lunges and pushups.

I totally smashed it at boxing! I feel awesome!
