Nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables, minimally processed cheese. You could use hummus, mustard, guacamole, or salsa for dipping your vegetables.

As long as you're consuming healthy fats from plants such as avocados, nuts, seeds, and olive oil - go for it! If you're into meat, stick with organic, grass fed lean meat - just don't go over 300 mg of cholesterol. If you get your fat from plants, you will not have to worry about cholesterol at all.

It sounds to me like alot of you are just insecure. You think or worry that everyone is judging you on the way you eat. I personally don't think there is anything wrong with a vegan diet. However, only eating fruit is not a vegan diet. At all. Try the clean eating/whole foods diet and get a variety of beans, fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains, and lean PROTEIN. You need a variety of all these foods daily. My macros on this diet…

I'm 5'9'' 188lbs and MFP has my macros set at 55/30/15 carbs/fat/protein. However, mine average to 40/20/40 carbs/fat/protein.

I eat 100-115 grams of protein a day. Protein makes up about 40-45% of my daily 1200 calorie diet. I do not eat this much protein on purpose, I just eat a lot of egg whites and beans. Is that bad?

Ugh! I find co-workers comments on what I eat SO annoying. I eat either navy beans, black beans, or mixed vegetables (corn, green beans, lima beans, peas, and carrots) all with chunks of chicken breast. I guess I should mention that I eat differently on 2 days of the week. On those days, I actually usually eat nuts, avocado, various raw vegetables, hummus, whole wheat crackers, shrimp, fish, etc but try to stay calorie conscious at about 1500-1900 calories.

No real reason for eating low fat... it's just food that I really like and it just happens to total 15-23 grams of fat per day. Also, I work A LOT of hours at what is, mostly, a desk job and do not exercise. Thanks for all of your suggestions... I will take them into consideration!
