Jan 5th for me!  :drinker:  :glasses:

As already said, stick with it, it does get easier. And you're correct about Jillian. She is [insert expletive here], but like you say, she obviously *knows* at which points in the shred you're going to feel like giving up. That's proof if you need it that you're not the first person to feel like that about the shred and…

Why don't you start with walking, or maybe C25K? Either of those will get you started again, but at a rate that shouldn't make you upchuck.

I'm glad it covers Lose / Loose. Maybe Mike can make reading it a condition of membership of MFP? I don't understand why so many people get that wrong, but it's impossible to spend 5 minutes in the forums without seeing someone talking about 'loosing weight' :grumble:

Woo hoo!! In under the wire with today's weigh-in!! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: Wonder what damage will be done over Xmas?

LOL, I complained about the exact same thing a while ago. Human nature's a funny thing. I think that when people say "you can't eat that" what they really mean is "how are you managing to lose weight when you're able to eat things like that?". The simple eat less, move more philosophy most MFPers use is totally alien to a…

According to a recent BBC article I pay approximately £7k - £10k more in tax each year than I receive back in services. I dread to think how much I actually pay in tax each year when it's all added together. I'm not going to work it out because it'll just make me mad! :explode:

When I first saw this I thought "that's fairly abrupt and a bit risque for a pick up line".

I don't have kids but I have seen Supernanny on the TV, so I suggest you break your day down and establish a daily routine. XX.00am get up XX.30am get kids up XX.00am get kids dressed etc If you add structure to your day you will feel better and your kids will feel better. They'll bug you less and you'll enjoy your time…

This can't possibly be correct! 4 minute sprints with a HR that low? For someone my age that's 103BPM while sprinting? I wish I was that fit!

30DS. The results thread speaks for itself.

A colleague's wife works in a hospital and had to talk a new mother out of calling her daughter "chlamydia", which she thought was a flower!

If you're only briefly over I wouldn't worry about it. Whenever I take up a new exercise my HRM is constantly over my defined zone, but the time I'm over decreases each time as my body gets used to it.
-
I've signed up too, but for the 14.30 wave - suits my bro-in-law and his family better if we're there later. It'll be more fun then as it'll be extra muddy...

Weighed in today (was feeling lucky) and I've lost more! Maybe the cycling I've just added to my routine is shaking things up a bit? I have now lost 12.5lbs since end Sept, so 1.5lbs to go. I am so excited.
-
That's excellent! Well done!!
-
That is awesome! congrats! :drinker: ETA: just waiting now for all the "what's a stone?" posts to show up...
-
I've found it to be pretty accurate for me compared to my HRM.

And dont forget "fit like?" which is NE Scots for "how are you?" I loved living in Aberdeen. There are huge variations in language even in a small country like Scotland. I didn't know anyone who used the word 'ken' in conversation until I started working in Edinburgh. It's all "d'ye ken..?" this, and "Aye, I ken that" that…

Stick with it panyg, you'll get there. :flowerforyou: I've been pretty lazy these last few weeks struggling with a chest infection so I've only lost 1lb, so that's 9.5lbs so far. Can I lose another 4.5lbs by Xmas? I'm planning to get my rear in gear again this week, so hopefully the answer will be YES! Come on folks, let's…

Hello from Scotland! You'll find loads of fellow brits here. Feel free to add me if you want some support.

or circuit training.

That is very good!

non-scale victory. Basically something to celebrate that isn't about a number on a scale.
-
I gained in the first few days but it went away just as quickly.

Welcome to MFP! :flowerforyou: I'm concerned that you're giving yourself an impossible goal, and one that will lead to you feeling like you're failing and then giving up. I've lost 75lbs, but I didn't do it in 4 or 5 months, it's been over twice that. I'm more than twice your age, but the weight loss you're saying you want…

I'm roping in family from MK and London, but that's not to say I won't to the Yorshire one too... HARD CORE!!!!!!

I'm planning on doing the London dash. 11am sounds like a great idea!

Even your attitude in the pics tells a story! Fantastic!

Congratulations! that's fantastic. Well done!
