It is completely normal for runners to experience heaviness in their legs--this comes from lactic acid buildup in the muscle. I don't know what your running program looks like, but I would suggest making sure you do a full cool-down (10-15 min. jog) after a run to move the lactic acid out of your legs, and the day after a…

I'm not a fan but my mom ADORES the stuff, started eating it like twice a day when she found out it was so protein-packed. She calls it her "superfood" and eats it plain. xD I think I'd eat it with jam, if I were going to eat any. But I'm happy just leaving it to my mom. ^^

Also if you like cottage cheese -- great source of protein! My mom eats it all the time, plain xD She loves it.

I have Ancient Grain (no high fructose corn syrup) toast with natural peanut butter, plus a glass of milk, for breakfast; I love it. :D About 400 cals and it keeps me full all morning thanks to the protein. Peanut butter is a good source of healthy fat too, I believe. Just make sure that you're not eating too much, and try…

My coach. xD But also ^this is a really good point. For summer training I had predetermined workouts, so I wrote each day's workout on each day on my calendar, and told myself I wouldn't let myself sleep if I hadn't done it and given it my best effort. That helped keep me from skipping days. During a run I use the…

If you have a Giant supermarket near you, look for the Giant All-Natural peanut butter. Ingredients are peanuts, salt. For some reason it's about a buck cheaper than the other natural peanut butter brands, and it's delicious IMO. I eat it every day on toast for breakfast. :D

It wouldn't be plantar fasciitis; whatever I sprained seems to be on the *top* of my foot. Thanks everyone else for the advice--I'll definitely try icing it several times a day. I don't think it's a *major* sprain so hopefully a couple days' rest will clear it up.
