  • I had some gut issues and started taking a soil based probiotic and lots of fermented foods like raw sauerkraut and I found those changes very helpful. Digestive enzymes can help too.
  • I sent one too :)

  • I just sent you a FR! Congrats on your progress this far! That's excellent!
  • I think setting a number isn't completely important and as others have said it depends on your frame and body composition. 2 people at the same weight and height can look completely different or even the same person at the same weight and height at different times in their life. I've put on a lot do muscle so I can wear…
  • Are the shows for working out but just not running? Maybe a cross trainer would make sense?

  • I try to follow a plan-based only diet most days and I try to never ever have dairy because it's so acidic and inflammatory and I feel and look terrible when I consume it.
  • a lot of crossfiters eat paleo and there many had gotten good results with the 'eat to perform' way of eating. On a side note, I found that doing some women's boot camps where lots of burpees and jump squats and basic lifting is done for a while prior to staring crossfit was helpful because the workouts are very intense…
  • It took a year for me and I used bands and progressed to lighter and lighter bands and eventually no bands.
  • I use almond and coconut milk. The calories are lower than skim milk and for me dairy makes me break out and gives me an upset stomach so I find my digestion is better avoiding it. I find coconut milk tastes better in coffee but almond milk is great for smoothies and oatmeal.
  • I sent you one too :)
  • I remember when they had these in Montreal! Fun!
  • Age - 37 CW 148 GW 135 (but teasing because I'm putting on a lot of muscle and I wear the same size I did when I was under my goal weight My goal is 1400 and I don't eat back my calories as i find the scale won't move if I do
  • I did too!
  • Feel free to add me too. I'm getting married in July and have a little over 10lbs I would like to lose by then.
  • There are a variety of mud runs and some are more difficult than others so you may want to do a bit of research before setting a goal. There are also some websites that tell you how to train for a mud run so that might be helpful (I think breaking muscle has one). The previous post suggesting a couch to 5k is a great…
  • Spaghetti squash and zucchini noodles are great. You could serve bolgnese sauce on cauliflower rice too. You can also make butternut squash noodles with a spiralizer similar to making zucchini noodles which are also good bit of you don't have any tools spaghetti squash is your best choice because all you need is a fork.
  • I make something similar with a couple table spoons of coconut milk (no heavy cream) vegetable broth and I consider it healthy. I'm not sure how many calories are in carton but using a lot of heavy cream will increase the calories or your soup. The soup has healthy elements but may be high in calories. It's great you are…
  • If you don't have a lot of time efficient workouts are super important. I do cardio sessions and plyometric circuits but when work gets busy I just make sure I keep my circuits (kettle bells, jump squats, switch lunges, thrusters, push-ups). You can create 5 or 10 minute circuits to do throughout the day. For example, you…
  • I saw a sports dietician and she advised not to eat anything for the hour prior to working out because eating right before exercise can inhibit your body's ability to use fat for energy. She advised to eat carbohydrates 1-2 hours before and when weight training eat protein within 30 minutes post workout.
  • One pieces are really in style right now!
  • I have a smoothie nearly every morning. I blend the juice of half a lemon with several kale leaves (spine removed) with some almond milk and and frozen fruit. I also add bee pollen and tumeric stevia to sweeten and I often add pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon to flavour. I don't think I would enjoy having a smoothie more than…
  • I'm in the same boat. I head down south on March 18th. My plan is a mix of HIIT training and some steady state fat burning cardio as well as some plyometrics/circuit training. I find the combination of these things can be really effective. I use the Kayla itsines bikini body guides for the circuit training which I find are…
  • You can put it in soup, salads, in smoothies or smoothie bowls, oatmeal or cereal, and home made energy/granola bars and there are so many types of chia pudding you can make from chocolate to chai to strawberry.
  • Protein powders or protein pudding might help. Salmon and other flaky fish when it can be a bit more solid. silken tofu (can be used in smoothies).
  • I really like workout tights booty shorts and tanks. I splurge on workout clothes because I'm in the gym so much and buy alo, beyond yoga, Olympia and once in while lulu lemon makes something I don't mind.
  • I log and post daily if you want to add me :)
  • Feel free to add me too although I'm also not in Vancouver.
  • I had severe acid reflux and juicing really helped me a lot. It's not an alternative to eating as a long term solution but it can be beneficial to some people. I just logged the calories in my juices. I juices at home but followed the blue print cleanse and so I would use the store bought versions to add to my log.
  • I've never heard of this but it's an interesting concept. I'm a cisgender femme lesbian and I used to follow a paleo diet which was really high in animal protein and I noticed no masculinizing effects, more recently I've followed a nearly vegan diet and again no impact.
