This made me laugh because...a year ago, on Halloween day I decided to have Butternut Squash (how seasonal, right?). It just so happens that when I cut it in half...I sliced my hand with it. It was literally split open. When I got to the hospital the staff couldn't tell if I was dressed up or if it was real. But yeah, I…

I actually found this great food blog with a peculiar recipe! Really willing to give this a try! Chickpea flour burger bun! http://nourishedmag.com/recipes-and-inspirations/chickpea-burger-buns

I have a crazy sweet tooth that will come up by itself...what works for me is a handful or two of weetos chocolate cereal :S At least I'm getting vitamins, right?

Well, after a few days with it I have to say I'm getting used to the "bulk" - I like to have the display on my screen and also that the HR seems current without a constant need to "sync" like I had with the HR. So yeah, happy with it I think? I also compared the burn from it with a chest heart rate and they were comparably…
-
That's disappointing! I've switched from a store and paid just a bit more. I've noticed that the surge has a continuous heart rate which I didn't get from the charge hr (it'd often take a while to sync and get any heart rate data) steps seem the same so far.
-
Oh and about the charge 2 it's replacing the current charge hr that will stop being produced. I think they're just introducing a new style more in time and theme with be Alta.. It's pretty but I think it's quite basic. It kinda pisses me off having features for different devices. Breathing and reminded to move now is only…

I've just upgraded to a surge. I loved my charge but the surge seems to be a more all around for people who are into fitness. Anyone wiling to share experiences with be surge?
-
...evidently not, given that I've been on a healthy diet for a long time. If only it was that simple eh! You're right about one thing - it's about consistency rather than perfection My diary is open I believe...though I didn't fill it last night (it'd be impossible too as I acted like a hover). I'm 5'10" currently 70 kg…

Which is why I've sought out a proper chest strap heart rate monitor... I thought I had made that clear? Lol

I've been having this as a breakfast smoothie for quite a while now. 1 cup of frozen spinach, half a banana and half a cup of berries. I make some matcha tea, add a teaspoon of coconut oil and add cold water before adding to the mix. Then I add a scoop of protein powder and spices...I love to add some ginger, cinnamon and…

Protein matcha pancakes is what I've been having for the past 3 days. 2 eggs (i tend to use a yolk and a white) 1/4 cup of milk (or water) 1 scoop of protein powder 1/8 scoop of baking powder a small serving of matcha. I also sometimes add some psylliym husks for fibre. I just whisk it all and make it into a light batter,…

Just had an idea for work lunch. A can of baked or kidney beans. Lots of protein and fibre!
-
LOL I was just about to say. It reminded me of Scooby's video "If something tastes too good, spit it out because it's probably bad for you" So depressing but also kinda true haha
-
Oh btw I bought this today to make porridge at work. I think I'll start making overnight oats and leave them in our fridge. Thinking of adding some protein powder to it too. I reckon I could also use the same container to cook eggs in the microwave (or maybe my mug?) and also it'd be easy to make steamed veggies/rice (I…

I have an idea - shall we start sharing work lunches/snacks so we can give each other ideas? Upon arriving at work I had: A sandwich: 2 slices of Hovis Nimble wholemeal bread, a slice of quick cook Turkey steak, some low fat cheese spread gherkin slices and sunkissed tomatoes (I LOVE them and the name is SO romantic haha)…
-
If you've got loads laying around I wouldn't mind buying some of it from you! :disappointed: If you can inbox me flavours and stuff! Are you in the UK? And to the Op: I buy most of mine from MyProtein when it's on sale. I've tried loads of different ones and spent too much money on it so now I kinda stick it to the basics…

Thank you! It's just been hard to find a place for adults and one with more than a one day only training. Is it possible or am I clutching at straws here? lol I have been reading up on it and the "prone to injuries" side of it sounds really scary...is that fear mongering or is it actually THAT dangerous? Really excited…
-
That is very structured! Yeah I did find them today actually! Thank you! They all look delicious! I'm just trying to avoid the home food prep lol Yeah I have salads a lot too and I'm kind of bored of it. I'm also trying to buy things I can keep at work and mount it there. Sandwiches seem to be the easiest. Good idea. I…

Oh I'm terrified of things wiith small servings in big packets. I tend to overdo it and end the pack without realising lol. I want to make carrot cake today and I wish I could share my panic at having to buy a bag of walnuts for it lol I don't think we have those in the UK! I'd love that. But then again I don't tend to…

I have found that a lack of fats in my diet was keeping me constantly hungry. So I've been adding half an avocado or so a day and a slice of cheese or something. It has been working! This was my treat of the day (I tend to share recipes on my instagram if anyone's interested :)) Today was half an avocado, 120g of greek…

Thank you! Disconnecting/Reconnecting got it working again! :D

Are there any updates on this? my fitbit is getting the calories from MFP but MFP is not getting the steps? Driving me bonkers!
-
I lost initially and then it went back to my usual weight...really odd lol
-
personally It makes it easier for me. I find that by eating lots of vegetables, even when I'm super hungry I'm not over indulging and I don't feel like I'm restricting - just making a better choice. So I don't feel bad or like I'm forcing myself into a diet. I've mostly eliminated refined sugars and carbs from my diet.…

The Martha Stewart one is super expensive, but I've seen some of the other ones and they seem good! I think I'll wait until my first two arrive...I have the BBC good food meals for one healthy meals...was trying to decide on something to cook but I got so frustrated with all the ingredients that I gave up on it! lol If…
-
Thank you @Emma_hepplewhite ! That fits the criteria too! I'm looking for more "easy to cook" for one though. Judging by Ministry of Food, Jamie likes LOTS of ingredients that I usually don't have lol

I tried slimming world at first and lost 5 stone doing it. I've been logging for ages but I've kinda stopped it. I try to follow the SW guidelines and the Volumetrics diet. It's also similar to this video I watched recently, and honestly, I think it's the best advice I've ever heard. I'm a grazer so I keep veggies and…

Very cute...despite that granola ALWAYS scares me. I like that thing WAY too much haha Just showing my dinner that will also be tomorrow's lunch

Hahaha I'm glad it's not just me! I have been drinking matcha tea as I don't tend to have as much green tea as recommended. Some matcha in the morning (sometimes with spirulina for the extra nutrients!) and a dash of milk goes a long way. I love chai and also have it with a dash of milk whilst at work.
-
Still here but kinda tired of logging and the constant watch so I'm tempted to going all into my slimming world days and just focus on a diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables exercise and a healthier living. Made cauliflower pizza yesterday. I'd love to bulk at the gym but the constant struggle to modify my body is also…
