  • Is the heart rate accurate? Is it any good?
  • I just got the ionic what's the difference with the versa? I've left Fitbit about a year ago and got back today. I saw the community post about the HR consistency and it literally made me so worried! I felt like I had bought a plastic gimmicky toy! Please people help me - I'm hoping I didn't waste my money
  • Tired of having the same product and I didn't feel it was working for me with accuracy. Fitbit won't allow third party integration either so I couldn't use my chest HRM for workouts, which Samsung allows. Ionic runs its own his which doesn't have a lot of support as of yet. So balancing both and the willingness to try…
  • Thanks for the response. Ended up just sticking to the Samsung. I like s health as I can incorporate stuff to it.:) Just hope the hrm for the s3 is good!
  • I'm looking at your picture and that's motivational... though I struggle to put on muscle
  • I seem to walk around 3 hours a day. I've checked my steps and pace seems fine. It's the blaze so there's the he too but shouldn't that be more accurate? I also take loads of stairs (try to avoid the lifts and walking underground). Bear in mind, I said it says I burn 3.5k but I didn't say I eat that much. I'm 171.96 pounds…
  • Your best bet is foods rich in fat. Most people find it easy to go through a bag of nuts or even some peanut butter. I had a trainer who could easily have a jar. X
  • I get you so much! I've started a new job and have the same issue. Except for me I end up eating my feelings at times. It's really hard x
  • Lol I do find the testosterone makes water retention quite easy. I had a really tough day today - it's injection day and I felt so tired and hungry all day. My friend says it's like being a girl "at that time". My doctor laughed when I told him I feel like the Hulk for a week and I become Dr Banner the next. Hormones are…
  • Up the dose. Eat more. Make gains (This is not medical or serious advise) [/quote] I'm actually 32! Doctors don't know what happened to my primary hyponogadism but in taking sustanon 250 every two weeks. I'm hoping the muscle building will improve my physique but the tummy has always been an issue. I've got a pic of it but…
  • Hey I'd like some help too as I'm trying to gain muscle. I always had a tough time until my doctor discovered I have low testosterone.ive been on testosterone replacement therapy for about almost a year. I'm uploading a progress picture and a shirtless one. I have issues with hanging skin from when I lost 20kg initially.…
  • More than hormones, it's likely to be blood sugar. I'm under Testosterone Replacement Therapy and even though my hormones are fine - my blood sugar is a rollercoaster. This was the advice given by my doctor as just like you - I have issues feeling full. It's a struggle as I don't get hunger queues most of the time. What…
  • Okay so I tried to make a casein shake with just a little bit of water. It's so so thick and satisfying it's like a dessert. It was so good I had to make it again... Greedy, I know! Lol Thanks for the tip. I don't think I can live without casein now! Lol
  • That sounds a bit heavy but might give it a try!
  • I usually use quark/yogurt or fat free cream fraiche. It's actually about £1.50 a pack, so hardly a break in the bank. I use those sources for the casein which has a proven slow release into the body. I actually bought some casein last night so that will help decrease consumption. The only thing to get around now is that I…
  • Just like you I had a similar experience where I was just too focused on it. I also had people say often "I'm always eating" and it started to affect me in every possible way. I haven't lost weight for about a year and I've gradually gained some from weight training. But my clothes fit quite similarly (except I have some…
  • If you're referring to me I was just wondering in regards to casein in yogurt as it's apparently a better night time fuel and any dangers of over consumption of dairy that's all
  • Agreed, but I try to focus on hypertrophy rather than overload. I'm looking for more size than strength so to speak.
  • I used to love Squats but for some reason I now feel unbalanced and insecure when doing it. I also sometimes feel a bit dizzy (maybe from going up and down rather frequently?) So, the next best is deadlifts. I just LOVE how strong it makes you feel.
  • Hey there I saw Brain over binge, Brain Over Binge the practical guide and Thin side out Anyone could recommend them? I was wondering if I "need" the guide from BOB if I'm getting the normal book or vice versa? Any review/recommendaiton welcome - and if you have read all 3, what is essential?
  • You're so right there.. Which is why I think programs like weight watchers and slimming world work. They minimise fat rather than carbs and up protein. I've just noticed I take in about 200g of carbs a day. When I was having it from vegetables only I was constantly hungry. Now having more complex carbs and pulses I seem to…
  • Hey! Thanks for the response and yes - actually I got the result today and it came back negative. Which made me happy for hooray - no abnormal chromosome but also sad...as that means I'm not an X-Man! ;) lol Also I'd like to say - increasing carbs DEFINITELY made me more satiated!
  • You're right - which the doctor is unsure if it's what happened (I was on a high carb low fat diet). The doctor also believes that it could be a chromosomal issue. I didn't have refeeds, but I ended up having binges which is when I sought out help. My body just eventually stopped producing hormones - the endocrinologist…
  • The problem is running on a deficit for most of the past 3 years I think and running on pretty much low carb and low fat. My body fat was at 10%, I assume it's been adaptive thermogenesis. I should also add - my issue was mostly identified as orthorexia and I've got hormone issues. I'm on Testosterone Replacement Therapy.
  • According to my therapist that's particularly the case with active people. He said my body is quickly running out of stores which is why I'd feel tired and shaky. I just can't wait for my body to normalise as weight lifting has become a struggle for me.
  • Thats the same thing a friend said...and it'd make sense with the fibre, wouldn't it?
  • I have something to add to this. I tried to go "fully raw" and avoided most proper starchy carbs from my diet. No bread, potatoes, crisps... Or at least I'd avoid them really badly. I got to a point where I've been constantly hungry every couple of hours. Eventually my diet became vegetables and protein mostly...and then…
  • Hey there! Check store brands...I remember watching "Eat well for less" and they showed a store brand that had lower sugar than the original HP. Might be worth checking! Apparently there's a HP one: https://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesco-price-comparison/Condiments/HP_Brown_Sauce_Reduced_Salt_And_Sugar_450g.html And also…
  • I'd just like to confess that oreos and biscuits in general are my diet downfall... There's something amazingly satisfying about the crunchiness of a biscuit...and then there's a remarkable strength to those of us who can keep to one or two! Even better...oreos and ice cream. Mix that crunch with that cream - this thread…
  • You CAN actually spiralise squash (AND SWEDE!)...but it needs some microwaving and cutting up first. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YewJIpJ-hM http://www.mindovermunch.com/PDF/Oct8_ButternutSquashMethods_MindOverMunch.pdf
