  • Yes that happens to me. My solution was Intermitent fasting. Mainly I skip breakfast and only eat at noon to 9pm. Like that most of my calories are consumed from noon to bed and I can eat more
  • Try a cycle of 2 days. 2 days low 2 days higher using the same calories for all week as you did before to prevent entering starvation mode and dropping your metabolism
  • True, that is what I am learning now. After I reach my goal I will use the knowledge gained these months to bulk for muscle growth or for maintenance.
  • I configured MFP to now show calories burned with exercise. Eat normally and with no exercise and do it anyway. More weight lost.
  • I agree. I am now using IF because I count my macros and do carb cycling meaning that to control my carb intake for some days it is easier if I do a 16/8 because than I can eat normal and stay inside my macro limits. And that works. I am a big guy and I could do IF and still gain weight. I could just in one meal eat what…
  • After specially in the first hour when your body needs it for muscle recovery
  • Look I will speak for myself and I'm a man with 6,33 feet. I eat many times during the day. I will now focus on two breakfasts, one when I wake up, and another two hours after consisting of coffee, skim milk, cereals with fiber, protein in a supplement and some carbs. For lunch I eat a a large salad with some proteins like…
  • If you cycle one and only advice. Get really good cycling shorts with gel inside and a cream for the rubbing. Cycling shorts are so tight that they don't rub or move.
  • I'm adding you. Ask anything
  • It is good thet you bring up this subject because I have been talking about this with some other women around here. Calories are a reference number because it is well more complicated than that. Calories are before anything else a reference number to fat, carbs and proteins, but emember that body treats them in so many…
  • Choose a POLAR one, and if you use your cell phone to record the exercises and it has Bluetooth LE Smart than go for the Plar with Bluetooth and your phone will do the rest
  • Yeah, I only had friends on Strava. Nice to see others amazing workouts, like yours ;)
  • Currently using Garmin Edge 510 with HRM and Pace Monitor
  • I have to agree with you. I use Garmin with heart beat monitor and pace monitor and it gives almost the same as strava. I guess MFP is off giving too much burned calories. So I would go more for Strava since it uses all your speed, altitude calculations while MFP tryes to guess only by time and speed.
  • Nice topic, I added all of you aboce and in the group. I am Rcoutada in Garmin Connect
  • Hi. In fact cycling is the best exercise for overweight people since it spares your joints. In what it takes to the cycle choice you must evaluate the roads or tracks you have near your place. In my case I started with a mountain bike and was always on tarmac roads so I bought a road bike and I love it because of the speed…
  • I am a very big guy and I had that feeling of first days but once I saw what I could change it all became easy. First of all my exercise does not count, I just changed the intake, meaning eat less and selected, and specially do not over accumulate hunger. I trick it with a piece of fruit and change one meal to a salad, and…
  • Every day as well but I just started
  • I was also an Endomondo Pro user, but since I discover Runtastic, specially their road bike app I changed and I found this thread because I had the same issue with Endomondo calculating huge calories amount
