Umm.. because all these products come with something called fine print which basically states it will only work in conjunction with an energy controlled diet

Haha. Well, at least when people who know me ask me what my secret was, I can just "I know when to put the damn fork down"

While I do agree that calorie counting might not be for everyone, what gets me is people who who have the mentality (As I used to) that no matter what, a piece of cake or a chocolate or anything non 'healthy' is considered failure. You wake up telling yourself that you are going to eat clean and lose weight, but then eat…

Have a chocolate with your coffee and you won't notice

Havent had it but it looks disgusting. A complete waste of calories in my opinion..

Ok seriously after seeing all these silly diet threads.. I have to ask: why are you even on My Fitness Pal, a calorie counting app which allows any type of food as long as it fits calorie goals? Do you really think anyone on here would be interested in doing a diet which only includes one food group or involves only eatinf…

It amazes me that people still argue about this. *sips Diet Coke*

So I agree with the comments above that diet is the most important thing, with exercise being a good way to supplement your weight loss and help you look lean. So that being said, why do shows like The Biggest Loser focus so much on exercise and hardly show anything regarding diet? I've always wondered what the obese…

Sorry if I sound judgemental but in my opinion, the answer is neither. No food group needs to be cut out for weight loss- it's calories in vs calories out. Eat healthy and clean foods most of the time, and include carbs, fats, protein, and even a little sugar now and then won't hurt. Carbs are not the devil, des[ite what…

If you incorporate all sorts of food into your daily eating- not JUST clean foods- you wont ever feel the need to binge. Every couple of days i have a small chocolate and I promise you I have not even felt the urge to binge because I'm not depriving myself. Just make sure it fits into your calories and you'll be fine :)

lol I don't think this is the place to ask about any cleanses or detoxes.. as far as I'm concerned they are unnecessary and are used by people who are impatient.

Scales shouldn't be taken too seriously they can fluctuate from the smallest thing. Also, as mentioned above, you need to track your progress on one scale only. My scale at home is always different to the scale At gym so therefore I only weigh myself on the gym scale and use that to measure progress.

Diet soda is not bad for you. In fact I once asked a dietician about it and she told me that for Aspatame to have any chance of causing cancer, you would have to be hooked up to a drip of the stuff for weeks on end. My boyfriends mother buys regular Coke but when I ask for Diet Coke she looks disgusted and says "I won't…

People who tell me that diet soda will make you put on weight and regular soda is actually better for you LOL. Oh and don't get my started on people who bant...

You shouldn't weigh yourself more than once a week.. I made that mistake before and it's the worst thing you can do because weight can fluctuate based on time of day etc. choose a day -like Monday- and weigh yourself every week on that day at the same time :)
