People just dont want to admit that losing weight is as easy as putting down the damn fork. I believe most overweight people could lose weight by simply reducing portion sizes without even doing the calorie counting. But no, keto, paleo, and the celery juice cleanse are better choices

I feel like after logging for a substantial amount of time, it should start to become an intuitive thing. That's why taking a 'break' is good because it will allow you to see if you can at least maintain without logging anything. This is supposed to be a lifelong journey so being able to eat intuitively should be the end…

Sadly I think people just dont get it. I mean, people will write "hi mom's" instead of "hi moms". They dont know the difference people plural and possession and it really grills me. I even see professional people doing it. Strange
-
Hahah I swear I see people getting this wrong all over social media and other platforms... to the point that it's a pleasant surprise when I do actually see it spelled correctly. I guess it's the same as the misused apostrophe problem... just have to accept that people don't get it.

Ok now I'm curious... how is IF helping you lose weight if not for a calorie deficit. I'm trying to be open minded here, but if IF works for reasons other than a calorie deficit then everyone would just skip breakfast and lose weight... because yes that's essentially what IF is. Years ago I still only ate at 12 and guess…
-
I only log my weight when there is a loss... which is why I have some huge gaps between weigh ins haha

You definitely cannot just 'eat whatever you want' while doing IF. Intermittent fasting is simply a tool that makes it easier for one to control calories. I aim to eat 1200 cals per day and the first time I eat anything apart from a cup of tea, is at 12. I still count calories but I'm able to eat a big meal which makes me…

I'd also be depressed if I was on a diet where carbs are seen as the enemy🤔🤐
-
Amazing. How many cals did you eat per day and did u exercise?
-
5"2 and weigh 54.5 kg. Here's a comparison pic I found today...

I live in South Africa and have the same problem but I cant bring myself to use kj. I just roughly divide by 4 or scan barcodes on here which will automatically convert to calories 😊

Absolute fiction, designed by the breakfast cereal industry to get people to buy their products

I believed this myth for many years.. hence I was a chubster :D

Why do so many people believe that going vegan is good for the body? It's a personal ethical choice and while I respect those who do it, doing it in the Hopes of detoxing your body and losing weight is a recipe for failure. For example I have a coworker who went vegan a couple of months ago and because she cant eat things…

Oh dear. When will people understand that you just need to EAT LESS to lose weight. I guess snake oil is more interesting
-
Any 'diet' that has a fancy name and cuts out food groups will only result in temporary success.
-
Fellow shorty here. It does become harder as you have less and less to lose so I recommend incorporating exercise at this point. I hate exercise but I've realised that to lose those last few kilos its necessary and will help tone you. Aim for 1200 but dont force yourself to eat if you aren't hungry
-
Why does the body need a cleanse? Go have a bath if you want to cleanse. You may lose weight but in a few weeks time you will be back to square one
-
Yup... no keto fad, no butter coffee, no killing yourself with exercise. Just eating less. So simple yet we make it so complicated in today's time. How sad
-
Yes. But some reason it's been given a fancy name to make it sound more complicated than it actually is
-
Lol are you joking... I'm a major advocate for not demonizing foods. If anything thats why I cant stand the whole keto trend because all it does is demonize carbs and make people think that they need to live a miserable carb and sugar free life to achieve weight loss success. Most overweight people aren't even aware that…
-
I know but why make an overweight person think that that's the best way to lose? It's not. And yes its gross
-
This is where you need to change your mindset. Rather eat what you want on other 'normal'days but try stay within calorie limit. If you go over by a little bit its not serious but it's better than having one day where you go all out 😀 this will create a healthier attitude towards food and you wont need to have chest days.…
-
Neither. I dont need someone telling what to eat when I can just come on here and log calories for free
-
I do it because I hate eating in the morning and it allows me to eat bigger meals for the rest of the day. Good luck 😁
-
Even though it can be a painful, I still think its easier than being on a diet of 'clean eating'for the rest of my life. I think most people reach a stage where they dont need to count everything because your body gets so used to it so you can sense when you have eaten enough for the day.
-
Yup, me. Haven't done a minute of exercise this year and have lost 10kg. I also dont 'eat healthy' I just eat less. I might start exercising soon though to tone up
-
And this is why I was unsuccessful in my previous weight loss attempts. Because I thought I had to have breakfast and make dinner my smallest meal. No offence but I disagree with all these points
-
Usually 70% of my cals are dinner and snacks after
