I too have stuck close to 1200/day. Most days I eat 1100 or so and work out (but don't eat back my calories) I don't feel hungry at the end of the day and I feel like I'm still free to eat whenever I feel hungry during the day. After reading a handful of posts about eating more calories and how it's supposed to help you…

thank you for sharing this...now I can finally prove to my husband that only eating 3 meals with a snack or two is OK. he is always telling I would lose weight faster if I ate 6 small meals a day and I find that pretty hard to accomplish!

yay! sometimes fitting in your clothes is all you need to keep going!

Do you have any old pics of what you looked like before you started? I would look at those and remind yourself WHY you want to lose weight and WHY you started in the first place. Sometimes we get off track and get too comfortable going about things the easy way. Now, if you have an old photo and maybe a photo or what you…

Hi there! Lots of people will probably tell you that you aren't eating enough calories. However, I feel that if you are eating enough to where you don't feel hungry then you shouldn't push yourself to gobble up a ton of food. I've been going at this consistently for 6 months without eating or eating very little of my work…

I'm sorry you aren't getting much support from your partner but I think 60lbs is an awesome loss! As some have said previously, the tummy is the last thing to go...I hope that it will shrink down more ( I absolutely hate having that pouch there..) Best of luck on continuing your journey. I skype with my husband a lot (he's…

yeah I defenitly don't feel comfortable without, or with very little clothing. It feels like everything is magnified if I don't have anything on. I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking I've gone crazy! Maybe it's because I've been overweight for years and years and started my lifestyle change only last year...I hope one…

I'm guilty of this too. I was nearly 200lbs but never really thought I was THAT big. I knew I could afford to lose some lbs but didn't think much of it..it's strange how our minds work huh?

this drives me nuts!!!

haha that is weird but I totally get it

Turkey sandwich on toasted bread with a little mustand and loads of spinache. Oh and some Veggie chips and Diet Coke

I try and log my entire day in the morning so I can plan out what to eat..and what I can fit in as a snack or treat. I find that planning it out helps me to keep within my goal

I agree!! At first I tried to cut out sweets or take out and found that for me it was harder than being aloud to have it every once in a while. When I deprive myself completely from something that I love (chocolate) then when I do have it I over-eat it and that's no good. So now, if I allow myself to have something…

I am so glad I found this post! I started at 1200 and it seems like once I reached 20lbs lost I've really slowed down. Not to mention I was almost always hungry but felt too guilty to eat past my goal...I just switched to 1.5lbs a week and that upped my calories to 1310. That should allow me to eat another small meal or…

thants a very good point..thank you for all of your insight

thats what I do, except it's every friday morning...I like weighing everday becasue I want to make sure I'm going in the right direction..if I notice a gain or no loss over a few days I change things up in my workout/ meals

I totally think that it's worth is to buy new (or new to you) clothes during your weight loss..you will feel great in your new size and it will help keep you motivated to continue on to your goal. I was 194lbs when I started and got some new clothes at about 170lbs. Once you get into a new pair of pants (or whatever it may…

oh my at first I thought you were 130lbs and still wanted to lose 33lbs!! I was going to say that wasn't healthy! But since I re-read and realized my mistake I just wanted to add that you look great and so much more happy than your 1st pic. 106lb loss is really an inspiration. keep it up girl!

I think it's a great idea. I usually have a bowl of honey bunches of oats as a snack if I need something a little sweet but filling so I'm not wanting more

aha thank you

silly question...but how do you BUMP?

Thank you for sharing your story, it's great that a little self respect (for your health, body and mind) can do. Keep up the good with watching your portions and your water workouts. I hope you will talk to your doc to fill them in on your new routine, it's always best to keep them in the loop just in case something were…

I totally understand. It's really nice getting to talk to someone else about our journey who actually understands what it's like!

I don't think tea or koolaid counts..too much sugar...I am interested in tips too

Thanks guys, I guess that would make sense! I just wish I could add on that I've lost more weight. I'll keep at it and hopefully see some more results. I'd like to add that I feel great now that I'm paying attention to the calories I eat and working out regularly. Best of luck to you all..we can do this!! For now I will…
