OK, me too!!
-
I'm with you all...2 1/2 years out of surgery and kinda lost focus. Time to get back into logging!!!
-
I've started doing squats while I'm making dinner, etc. While I'm standing there waiting for something to heat up, cook, or whatever, I'm doing stretches, lunges, squats, or anything else I can think of!! It all adds up!

Lettuce is a bugger. Very bulky - fills you up really fast...doesn't leave much room for anything else! I am a year out and still eat VERY little. Nuts and popcorn I've been eating for awhile now, although I agree with the others that say, MEASURE IT OUT!! I thought I was safe eating Skinnypop out of the bag...BIG…
-
Hmmm...do you think they do the same for people who have too many calories for the day? Just wondering.
-
You look FABULOUS!! Well done!
-
I have had ice cream with no problems - since surgery (1 year ago) a very small amount of sweet goes a LONG way! Not as much of a craving for them. I eat the Yasso greek yogurt bars too, they are really good and have protein!
-
I use the nectar = if you mix it, let it sit for a minute or 2, stir it up again, it wont be clumpy. Just had one last night and it was great (I like the cappuccino or strawberry).
-
I would be careful with salads...I personally would wait for at least a few weeks - even then, start SLOW!!! Sometimes the raw veggies can cause gas, which as I'm sure you know can be very uncomfortable for a new sleeve! I still (1 year out) struggle with salad, the lettuce is "bulky" and seems to take up a lot of space…

Sounds great! so much fun when you get into it...I'm doing my first half marathon in April and a 25k in May! Love having a goal to work for, keeps you at it!
-
Haha! Guess I wondered if I was the only one who had this issue...constantly having to shift in my seat! I'll take it, though!
-
So funny...this is the same with me, EXACTLY
-
I do not, but it gives me a little cushion in case I do want to have a little something extra at the end of the day!! :D
-
At this point, don't worry about calories, ONLY focus on your protein! If you keep your diet similar to the day you posted, calories will be just fine!! :D Well done on your diet!!
-
You guys make me laugh.

Hi Malesha! I'm Amy, I was sleeved 12/30/2013. Please feel free to send me a friend request, I also have an open diary, feel free to look!! I've lost 80 pounds so far and am 10 pounds from my goal...the key is to not give up!! This is a long journey and there are many bumps in the road!
-
(sorry...that just gave me a really funny visual!)
-
Bahahahaha!!
-
Yay! I've lost the Worlds Largest Ball of Tape!!
-
Yeah, the no drinking before or after a meal got me too! Those first few months are tough! Find a protein drink you can tolerate (I struggled with the "sweetness" of everything, that's why the cappuccino was good, not as sweet as the chocolate, etc.) Eventually when you are on a more normal diet you will be able to do more…
-
You look absolutely gorgeous (in BOTH pictures) but your loss is amazing!!
-
Hope all went well for you...!!!
-
I always prefer to get my protein from real food, but when I need a boost, the Syntrax is FABULOUS. I like the cappuccino or strawberry (the others are too sweet for me) but I mix them with vanilla flavored soy milk and it's actually really good!!
-
hahahahaha!!
-
LOVE LOVE LOVE reading all these!! I love being able to cross my legs, AND my hubby told me I looked sexy the other day!! :p
-
What Pat said!! I am 10 months out and still doing this!! 3 small meals and 2-3 snacks, all (most ;) )of which include protein!
-
I still get crazy loud stomach noises 10 months out!! Haha! Small price to pay...best thing I have ever done! I suggest walk, walk, walk! Still helps me now, air in the tummy is still painful! Congrats on your surgery!
-
Oh, and I mix it with vanilla flavored soy milk...not as "carby"!
-
Stir it and let it sit for a few minutes. Stir it again and the clumps should be gone...I've been using Syntrax since my surgery in December and have finally figured it out!! B)
-
I agree with the others...make sure you get your liquids in and walk, walk, walk!!! I was really uncomfortable for a few days as well, but each day was a little better. Just be sure to follow your drs and nutritionists instructions and you will be great!! Congrats!!! Once you get past this, you will LOVE it!!
