  • Thanks so much saucesofit, the thing I'm struggling with at the moment is keeping my fat intake down. I can manage the protein (with shakes etc) and can keep the carbs low enough but only going over on the fat. I'm quite enjoying it so far and will definitely just keep playing around with various things and see what…
  • Thanks very much for the responses guys, it's been going pretty well so far, I struggle to hit my protein goal without eating too much fat at the moment but it's a work in progress...
  • Hmmm, it looks like there's not many people out there with much info on IIFYM? Maybe I didn't word the post very well. How are you finding it so far Agartin?
  • I'm the same, but I always save 100-150 calories for a treat at about 9.30/10pm. I usually have a chocolate biscuit or Jaffa cake or something. It's probably not the healthiest of habits but it helps me to stay within my calorie goal as I'm happy not to eat after dinner until my treat at the end of the night!
  • Hi, I'm in the uk, I'm 34, I have lost 10lbs so far, have 30lbs left to go. My aim is to lose the remaining 30 by my daughter's first birthday which is march 26th. I've only been on here regularly for a few weeks but I'd like some more friends for motivation and support.
  • Thank you for the input everyone. I now have a much better idea of what the concept of IIFYMs is. I have changed my macro goals on MFP to the ones calculated for me on the IIFYMs website (I inderstand that the website is capitalising on the concept) the main difference appears to be a higher protien percentage and lower…
  • I'd like to join you! I think your goals sound great. My goal is to lose 30lbs by my daughters first birthday (march 26th) I'm going to break it down into smaller goals for different dates too. Good luck x
  • You look great, such a big difference between the pics. I have two young kids too (2 and 6 months) and I find it much harder to eat well and find the time to exercise as a stay at home mum. It's really nice to see a success story from someone in similar circumstances, you've done brilliantly. Thanks for sharing it helps me…
  • Thanks for the reply, fat loss is the aim as opposed to just general weight loss (as it is for everyone I guess) so I think I'll try it and see what happens. I hope to start a decent weights program soon if I can work out child care, so hopefully that will help things.
  • I try not to if I can help it. But if I need the calories for something (dinner out etc) or if I'm just particularly hungry then I do!
  • Wow! you look absolutely stunning. Amazing job, and very inspirational.
