Nestle Rich Chocolate with Chocolate Chips. SRS? Today was just my 2nd day on a long CLEAN AND SLOW bulking phase. feelsbadman..

That's not how I looked at it, especially regarding point 1. Maybe if those extra calories came from simple sugars, that would not be a good idea health-wise, long term effects, you know, that kind of stuff, or would it be Okay since they're just 400 cals, that's what I'm talking about. I'm just not sure.

I tried different calculators and the most accurate way turned out to be through trial and error and experimenting on myself. They can help estimate numbers though. I used to eat at an average of 1700 calories per day, lost 20 lbs over 2 months, so I think if I want a slow clean bulk I'd go for like 2400, maybe.. Sorry…

Do you mean that +10~20% of my maintenance calories is too much? That would be like +250~300 calories above my TDEE, some people go like +1000 and more.
-
What's RM??! I've always wanted to know. I'll try to stick to what you said. The only thing that I'm not sure of how consistent I'll be able to do it is the eating enough part. I've never eaten above my maintenance before (except for the old fatty days of course ) and the thought of it is just, you know, scary, though I…

Mom's Baklava. :3

Wow, I thought gaining mass and adding strength are the same, since more mass means more strength and more strength comes from more mass? :D Can you please tell me more about how they're different, and I'd like to focus on increasing mass since I have too little lean body mass. Thank you!
-
Thanks, every one, for your help and support. Seriously, you already made me feel a lot better! And the truth is, I don't want to ruin how good they tasted with all the stress and guilt! :D Good luck to you all, wish you guys all the best.

Maybe he's not eating it off the spoon.

Eyeballing peanut butter is a NO NO. Peanut butter is deceiving! I personally use a digital kitchen scale for that matter. Place jar on scale, turn on scale so it reads a zero, spoon out some peanut butter, the scale then reads grams in minus, which is how much I spooned out. You have to be smarter than peanut butter.

I'm not sure they were really worth ~7500 cals. I stomached them easily and didn't feel anywhere near half full, they were just bite size. ( maybe a total of 300 grams ) Anyways, I think it was more of a binge/disorder, I've been strict for 3 months. I have a marathon tomorrow and I'm going to get back on track with eating…
-
That's not half bad. I just ate the third of my cals for my entire life :/
-
I already feel like crap :3 ... Never thought the sum of calories would go that high, I didn't even feel half full, they were like bite size.
-
The folks here say it's ~300 calories per piece which add up to ~7500 calories for what I just ate. I DON'T THINK THAT'S EVEN DOABLE, NOT IN MY LIFE-TIME EVER AGAIN!
-
They were tasty but it wasn't really worth the 25 * 300 = 7500 CAL- WHAT???! are you serious?
-
I passed my calories for the day with a mile. Edit: btw, I'm ready to eat more, too bad we're saving some for the guests coming soon.
-
What do you mean by stretching it until Monday?
-
I like Kellogg's All Bran Plus. Got lots of fiber per serving!
-
Yes, it's about 2300 if I'm lightly active, which I think I'm more of a moderately active person with 6 workouts per week, ditching my car and walking, taking the stairs and other stuff. Anyways, I'll start eating at about 2300 calories and see where that takes me, like you said. Sounds like Trial and Error is the only way…

I don't know, I guess I always hated how I looked. I'm kind of happy with how I look now, although I'm the type of a skinny-fat guy at the moment. That's why I wanted to gain some muscle, but you know, how the brain works and all the fears of going back to the old shape and stuff.
-
I've been eating around 1700 for 3 months of weight lifting and I haven't gained almost any muscle. My BMR is around 1670. Calorie deficit wouldn't help gain muscle no matter how hard someone workouts, basic science and personal experience too :(
-
True, my BMR is ~ 1670, I guess I'm eating at too much of a deficit? Haven't tracked my weight in 2 weeks since 142 lbs.
-
Most likely, since it says 300 mg of Sodium as well. Edit : So those carbs * 4 = carbs for drained weight, right? Dividing that by 100 grams; That would make them about 9 g carbs and 7 g protein per 100 grams. Still, Canned beans usually have +15 g carbs per 100 grams.
-
Thanks, now I know how to include an image, I'm a newbie. : )
-
And there, also much more carbs per 100 g. So what do you guys think? Should I stop buying this brand?
-
Right there! Look how that Tesco beans have like the double amount of calories and much more carbs? That's what I'm talking about. How come mine are so different? I know that 10 of carbs and protein calculate to about 53, but that's not the problem. The actual problem is how come they have such a profile!
