I've never met anyone that likes to be pinched that wasn't a masochist. Squeezing however, is an entirely different story.

You cannot target fat loss - it comes off universally.

Cut back your cardio. You /really/ don't need that much. By simply eating a clean diet (the "Cave man" diet also known as the "Paleo diet") is a fantastic way to reduce your body weight as it is. And when it comes to weight training, just remember to keep it simple - and lift heavy. I suggest starting with Strong Lifts or…

Genetics play a part, yes. Though Squats, Deadlifts, Strait Legged Deadlifts, and Lunges will most certainly get you the results you're wanting.

It was actually my weight loss which started the problems with my marriage. It's a long story, but to be brief, doctors told me to clean up my ways, or die early (like my father two months previously). I chose to clean up, the (now ex) Wife said she didn't want to change, nor would she be supportive of it. A year later she…

Eat in a deficit to lose weight. Any form of exercise that encourages that deficit will be beneficial. The order of the exercises is irrelevant. But remember, the more muscle you gain the higher your metabolism will be. So if you want to speed the process up, do more strength training - less cardio.

What's your bodyfat right now? And yes, I used the SS /ROUTINE/, not the diet plan. loldrinkingagallonofmilkaday

Do SS (Starting Strength) routines; do /NOT/ follow it's diet plan. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=998224&page=1

Wait what? This program uses weights? **** yes! Use as much weight as you can hold on to! Changes, they be happenin' yo. ;)

Perhaps looking into the reasons you bounced back would help you maintain the lifestyle? But to answer your question: I think that yeah, if it doesn't take much effort, you may not be burning as much fuel to accomplish the deed.

I wouldn't suggest using the BMI calculation for anything. Mainly because it doesn't take into account - well - anything of use. According to BMI - I'm listed as "unhealthy overweight". Using a BMR is a bit different as it takes into account body fat and exercise levels (like MFP does). I personally use the Katch-McArdle…

Anything > 0 is far from lazy. Get numbers out of your mind - in all areas of fitness. Your weight doesn't matter. Your inches doesn't matter. Your size doesn't matter. Nothing matters but the effort you exert. You're done when you've collapsed, not before.

Push-ups are GREAT for upper body development. When I first started I, as well as you, struggled a great deal with them. I think I could do maybe 5 before my arms would give out on me. I overcame this by doing them every day. Right when I wake up in the morning, turn off the alarm, and do as many as possible in one set. At…

So I've been working on making a costume for a Spartacus (while he's a slave in the Ludis - hence the wooden swords) photo shoot that I'm going to be doing here soon. Since the Ladies of MFP helped me in figuring out the men's brief portion, I figured I may as well share what I have so far.

Six pages and no girl V's. I demand girl V's!

Now it's your turn! :blushing:

You're only seeing posts by yourself as well? Oh thank god. I'm seeing the same thing; only with my posts. Incoming server maintenance!

Thanks for the support everyone! :flowerforyou:

Good plan! Just remember: Make time in your life. Don't wait for your life to make time on it's own. ;)

I prefer "slow bulking" to gaining muscle mass. It obviously takes more time but it will allow you to still gain a respectable amount of muscle while maintaining 8-11% body fat. Also, LeanGains is another proven method.

I'm feeling a bit under the weather today. But here's a pic with some fantastically poor lighting. =P Maybe give my Fan page a like, https://www.facebook.com/NPCDaveTacker - it doesn't get much love.

I have a few pics on my profile that show it slightly. I don't think I've ever taken a pic that really tries to show the taper off. *shrug* Maybe I'll find/take one today.

Just going to reinforce what was said above. Best of luck to you!
