I do full body compound lifts 3x/wk. I started lifting in September but I spun my wheels with too many isolations for the first couple months. I dropped all cardio in November. My avi is from end of Jan to mid March. I realized I wasn't pushing myself as hard as I could in the gym and my lifts went up a lot in that time…

Wow.

I haven't noticed a difference. But I've always attracted the crazies when I go out. My husband always tells me not to smile at people because they think I want to talk to them. And I always end up talking to them.

Bahahaha!

More pics please. Idc if Manu is natty or not, he's worked his *kitten* off for his body.

Can you change the units on your food scale? Mine does oz, g, and kg just by pushing a button.

I just put my plate on the scale.

Chicken chunks with mexiranch and a veggie.

You can also put the dry oats in a food processor until it's finely ground and then add it to your protein shake.

:drinker: Yes!

...and then they get pissed that their steroids didn't work. I don't really care if someone uses or not. That's their decision and it doesn't affect me. But I know it's not an easy way out and they are just as dedicated as someone who's not on a cycle. Also I  muscles and wouldn't ever date a skinny guy (not that I…

Just ask someone in there. Most spotters walk away while you rest. If you watch the guys, that's what they all do. You'll probably have to grab someone for each set. Besides bench, what exercises are you doing that you need a spot for?

< All I got right now. Hmmm, I'll have to look for some real befores. I started lifting in September. My avi is from end of January to mid March and I lost maybe 2 lbs but went down at least one pants size. I was only eating at a slight deficit at that time too. Also, this isn't my after picture either. Just my during.

Just stay out of the misc and it's all good... It's fun to read the misc threads though but you will be negged hard if you post.

The more you know...

Because these are not the basics. You're making it much more complicated than it needs to be. See what psulemon posted: ^ that is the basics.

Perhaps I should have been more clear. Most of the articles on bb.com are filled with broscience. A major change in the last several years is meal timing. Something you advocated in your initial post. I assumed you were a miscer since your inspiration is Zyzz. I'm being dead serious when I say head to the nutrition section…

Don't eat back your exercise calories, I was trying to edit while you were quoting. HRM's are really only accurate during cardio and most manufacturers state that.

Op- you know that article is from 2001. Spend some time in the nutrition section instead of the misc if you really want to learn.

If you take 500 from your TDEE (2580) you should lose 1 lb a week (3500 calorie deficit). You do not eat back your exercise calories because they are taken into account with TDEE. Edited for a very important missing "not"

http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/of-whooshes-and-squishy-fat.html ^ good read.

I completely cut out "junk food" for a few months, then I was able to do single servings for a while and now I'm ok just taking the portion I've tracked (since I do that before I eat it). I'm also not focused solely on appearance goals; I now have fitness goals. I want to be able to do more pullups, bench my bodyweight,…

I don't use gloves since they tend to make my hands slip more. If it's grip strength, you could do farmers walk. Are you releasing at the end of the lift and resetting your hands? That helps more than anything. I don't feel like I'm lifting heavy enough (just doing 145 lbs) to warrant straps and I would rather improve my…

Nice! I would pull the bar in closer when doing deads and then drop your butt just a little more. It looked like you were reaching forward a little, which may cause some of that rounding. (Of course, I just switched to regular deads from SLDL's last week so I'm far from an expert)
