Ellis- thank you for your response! I checked my body fat with a body fat monitor (OMRON). Yes it is high...and yes it is true....I have a lot of fat on my body. I can see it all over my arms, stomach, thighs, butt...yuk..... that is why i am trying to lose body fat as well. I had gained a lot of weight when my boyfriend…

also, I think my definition of deficit and yours are different. I am probably wrong... what I meant by deficit is that after eating and exercising i have 1400 calories left over in a day.

Here is a second post to clarify. Sorry If i made it confusing. After eating and exercising I would have about 1400 left over per day. On some days less and on same days more. I just picked 1400 as an average. I promise you it sounds like i am little but i'm really not. I'm hispanic so I have a curvy shape and maybe if i…

Need to clarify. I had an average of 1450 deficit per day for the last week. Which means it is just an average. For example...one day i would eat 2000 calories and after burning 600 calories would have a deficit of 1400 for that day. The next day I wouldn't exercise and ate 1450 calories. So it is an average per day for 1…

Need some help and motivation. I did awesome yesterday. Burned 550 calories taking 2 cardio classes. And ate 200 calories less. I feel really tired today and don't want to work out. But I'm afraid I will be behind in losing my 1 pound goal for this first week. Anyone have advice?

2/28 Weigh in today: 123 pounds. Goal weight : 118 pounds Goal weight to lose per week: 1 pound Should reach my goal by April 7. But will need to maintain through the summer. My history shows that once I get to my goal I throw everything out the window and I don't want to do that this time. I want to look great by summer…

Brown rice 1/2 cup(approx 108 calories), 1/2 cup to 1 cup of frozen veggies (anywhere btwn 50 to 100 calories depending on what you choose) and 3 eggwhites (45 calories). Fry it in a pan ( use pam) and a splash of soy sauce. yummy and healthy.

I usually put brown rice, frozen veggies and scrambled egg whites in a pan and mix together. Some soy sauce...yummy and filling!

Riley, awesome and thanks! I will look for it:)

Alexis- I'm so glad someone can relate!!! Somemtimes I think I'm the only one out there with this problem!! How often do you plan your meals? Every night before bed? Once a week? Do you also factor in calories? How often do you go grocery shopping?
-
Allison- how do you track them? Do you mean you use a food diary to plan ahead and then print out the menu for the day? That is a fab idea. How often do you do this?
-
Suedre - great idea for the blender! I think I'm gonna go get one!! What is your recipe for the salad?Thx for responding!!

Thank you for everyone's great ideas!!

Great topic! I am also having trouble staying motivated. Would love to hear others' feedback. I just started trying the electronic food diary and I love it!! It really helps me get off the couch when I've noticed I ate too many calories for the day. The toughest part for me is getting off my butt to prepare meals. I also…

I would email the company directly and ask them. I've done that before and always get a response!

Wow. your tips don't sound sketchy at all..I totally believe it! It sounds like you really work hard to stay in shape. Good for you !! And I loved your tips....I'm starting to realize now how hard it is to take the weight off. I've been pretty thin most of my life weighing on averaage about 115-118 pounds (I'm 5 foot 2 and…

Just wanted to clarify that the nutritionist I went to see was an RD. I use the terms interchangeably.

Mars - the reason the HR monitor is good is b/c it will tell you how many calories you are burning during exercise. The reason it is helpful is b/c you can subtract that from the calories you have eaten for the day. Another reason to use one is b/c even though you are working out, doesn't mean you are burning that many…

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with a nutritionist. I went to an RD and she was the best of the best and I paid top dollar for her. She didn't tell me anything that I didn't already know...in terms of portions...food groups...calories..etc...I'm pretty knowledgeable about nutrition so I was disappointed…

I understand how you feel! I am going through the same thing. I was working out 5 times per week, but I am not really watching what I eat. I am starting to realize that my problem is the food. I wasn't losing any weight. 1. You have to figure out how many calories you are burning during bootcamp. Do you have a heart rate…
