I get so angry when this happens too....I love independent restaurants too (and there are A LOT in Oxford) but they NEVER have their calorie content....So I've just got to add it up + add a few extra 100 calories because I doubt they'll cook low fat!

When your so worried about what your boyfriend mother is going to serve you for dinner when you go around to her house, you do 2 hours of cardio...just incase it's something way over your calorie allowance!

I'm giving up take aways and eating out (hopefully this should save me some money too) and taking up Exercising for an hour every day! I do go away for a few days over lent, but at that point I'll stop and just extend my lent time over easter.

I usually do 75g of raw pasta cooked per a person...and there is sometimes leftovers!

The machines give you a very rough estimate....Burning calories really depends on your size / heart rate etc- maybe try a heart rate monitor to give you a more accurate reading?

I grew up in a Catholic family and giving up something for lent was the complete norm for me, I'm not that religious these days, but I still give up something for lent (my atheist boyfriend thinks it's weird). Thanks for all your ideas I think I'm going to give up eating out & takeaways and take up morning work outs…

I'm cooking the BOYF Steak and dauphinoise potatoes (his fav), candles, wine etc....... Also the night before I'm going to bake him heart shape cookies, and put them in his pack lunch he takes for work!
