Do some exercise on the same day, and reduce your portions slightly maybe.

What does the manual say?

Interesting! My blood pressure is extremely low, and my heart rate when exercising is often pretty high; I'd been wondering the same thing myself.

Are you getting a 00 reading, or no reading at all? Assuming you've checked the basics (unit is attached to chest strap, chest strap electrodes are wet enough, you've paired the unit with the watch etc.), check that your sports bra doesn't come down too far and cover the area where the chest strap needs to go. I had that…

I haven't tried it myself, but this guy writes excellent reviews in his blog. If he hasn't covered the 910 yet he probably will soon. http://www.dcrainmaker.com/product-reviews/garmin

Exactly.

I find it tends to over-report the amount of calories I've burnt compared to my HRM. Not always, but a lot of the time.
-
Just a thought; you haven't accidentally got it set to show % of maximum heart rate instead of heart rate, have you? With mine I can toggle between the two and it can be a bit confusing. Sorry if you've already ruled that out.

I'm 5'6" and about 109 lbs, and I don't look remotely anorexic. It really depends on your build. I have a tiny frame, and could lose a few lbs more quite comfortably. (In fact I actually want to increase my muscle mass, so that probably won't happen.) From what you've written so far you don't seem to be heading into…

How about not letting your husband 'ban you' from doing what you like? I'd start there.
-
Astonishing, isn't it? People will go to huge lengths to believe that there's some magic easy method to weight loss.
-
Make sure you always have the scale in the same place, and that it's on a hard surface. You will appear to weigh less if you weigh yourself on carpet.
-
Just everything in moderation. There are no miracle diets. You have to apply that mindset to your whole life, and not think in terms of being 'on' a diet (in my opinion).
-
There's a point during weight loss when your cellulite can appear to get much worse for a bit. (I'm not sure why, but possibly it's because some of the fat overlying it has gone, or maybe it's because your skin's a bit looser temporarily.) It improves after that though.
-
Agreed.

I actually think it depends on your frame size. Much lower than that might be cause for concern, but if you have a small frame (and some people genuinely do) it can be ok. Obviously it goes without saying that if you have to starve yourself to get there it's a bad idea.

Since losing weight (I'm probably a US size 2/UK size 6 now- I was a size or two bigger before), men are a LOT nicer to me. It's very noticeable. Strangers are nicer, and men I've known a long time are nicer. It does piss me off a bit how noticeable it is.
-
I'm exactly the same! This is really interesting. In my case it's always the week before my period, which I think is unusual. I'm not entirely sold on the science, but I am interested to read how many people seem to lose in a similar manner.

I think a heart rate monitor is your best bet. Apps tend to over-estimate calories burned quite significantly.
-
I don't worry about so-called fat-burning zones. A calorie is a calorie is a calorie.

That definitely sounds like jealousy to me. What a shame (and well done!) My husband noticed pretty early on, I think, but nobody else has commented yet apart from my doctor (which makes me think it must be quite obvious if he has noticed it). I was never really big though so it's possible it would go unnoticed.

I don't think it's technically necessary, but I do know that I personally get weaker at around that time, so I do allow myself to eat a little more on the first couple of days (or any other day if I need it). So I'd say if you feel like you really need to eat more, eat more. Don't go mad, but don't deny yourself food if…

Well done! And you get to eat more, you lucky thing.

Often the same foodstuff is in the database several times, once in cups (say) and once in UK measures, so pick the one that means the most to you. Alternatively, if what's in there doesn't work for you, add the details yourself either by typing in what's on the nutritional information on the packaging, or if you have a…

I've never been very overweight, but I have lost quite a lot of weight recently. It's kind of sad and kind of funny I suppose, but people (mostly men) are much nicer to me now, and more attentive. The shallowness is a bit hard to take.

Your diary isn't open.
-
I might have misunderstood, but if you have set your activity level on the basis of doing 7 hours' a day walking at work, why did you log 5 hours' walking on Saturday as exercise? If anything you would have done *less* exercise* that day, surely? Sorry if I've misunderstood. Also, I would never have a whole cheat day- just…

Do some exercise every day before going out to eat?
-
What sort of exercise are you doing? A lot of exercise can make you retain water a bit so it could be that, or yes, your hormones. Have you eaten a lot of salt, because it could be that too? Keep at it; it will happen!

I think some of you are confusing UK and US sizes! A UK size 8 is a US 4 A UK size 10 is a US 6 A UK size 12 is a US 8 and so on. I'm a UK size 8, and my hips are 33.5", I think.
