How does it mount in the door frame without hardware? I have a mental picture of something similar to a spring loaded shower curtain rod and me falling right on my *kitten*!

No opinions on this at all?

Super helpful! Thank you!!

Just stumbled across this thread and I'm wondering the same thing as the last question. Why can't you measure liquids on a digital scale? Is it because of accuracy? I have accidentally overfilled the measuring spoon too many times with olive oil, and at 130kcals per Tbsp I'd rather be accurate with that one!

This is actually one of the main reasons I have never really succeeded at prior weight loss programs. It takes a long time for me to see a physical change, and I've always gotten frustrated thinking I wasn't making progress. I'm talking like 30-40# before I go down a size in clothing. Right now I'm about 2 months in and…

USMCMP - you referenced this thread in another one earlier today and I had a read. Thank you so much for posting this! I haven't started a strength training regimen yet because I don't have access to a gym and I don't have anywhere to set up a home gym. I'm going to buy one of the e-books for the bodyweight workouts which…

Do you know if the scale at the gym is actually calibrated correctly? Honestly I wouldn't rely on the gym scale unless that is the one you use weekly at the same time. Especially with how often it would get used. I would go by whatever you use regularly in the same setting around the same time of day. If you think your…

If you're not actually eating at 1400 calories (because you said you haven't eaten any more than usual) why would you feel any different? Have you been eating higher sodium foods the last week? Have you been drinking enough water? Is it close to your TOM? Sounds like something else changed, not your calorie intake...

Amazing accomplishment! And CONGRATS on the new baby!!!!!

I don't pre-log my whole day, but I usually have an idea in mind of what to do for lunches and dinners and log it before I eat it. I have enough low cal snacks around the house that if I'm peckish in the evening I know what I can grab that still fits into my calories left for the day.

I wish I had that problem. For me, I find that the mirrors are "skinny mirrors" and I don't look half bad at the store. But when I get home, yikes what was I thinking! Start depression and vow to never go shopping again unless I have to... :(

This is true :) I have 9 now and am planning the for the next ones sometime soon. Some of them have specific meanings, most of them don't. They're all just things I like

How much water do you drink per day? I find that if I don't consistently drink a lot of water I will be up on the scales from water retention and it takes 3 days for it to come back off!

I did not know this existed! Thank you!

I think its a personal preference. If you plan for it, the end result will most likely stay in your favor rather than not planning, slipping and going so far over your daily goal that you lose any progress you made before. I don't personally practice this, but I'm glad the math works out this way. A few days ago I had a…

I signed up with WW numerous times over the years, never really had success and always cancelled because I couldn't afford to pay for something I either wasn't using or wasn't working for me. I like MFP better. It took me a while to get used to counting calories, plan out my day and all but once I got the hang of it I…

I got a fitbit, that really motivates me to get out the door and get more steps in for the day!!

Track every bite of food you eat and make sure you eat at a calorie deficit. You lose weight in the kitchen, not on the soccer field!
-
I've also got 100lbs to lose! Feel free to add me, I could use new friends as well!
-
I hope not. I planned for ice cream tonight :) Honestly, as long as your calories are at a deficit you'll lose weight. I wouldn't recommend eating 1200 calories of sweets, but to each their own!

Sooo close!! I'll add you! 31, 5'4", Female SW: 249 CW: 246 GW: No idea, maybe somewhere between 130-140? Would love twins!! (ETA: MFP twins that is!)

Holy cr@p that's amazing!!! Thank you so much for that link! I'm totally going to save the Tabulated Data and see how close it is to daily/weekly weigh-ins! Yippeeeeeeee!!!

Protein bars, yogurt, veggies with hummus & these individual steamer packs of edamame pre-portioned out. Love that stuff.

I drink tea at work. I don't know that it has a huge effect on 'speeding up metabolism', but it does curb my appetite during the work day. Too much hassle to drink loose leaf at work, so I just get bags. I like green and chai.

Thank you everyone! I forgot it was a percentage of TDEE, so I'll adjust accordingly. I started out trying to do what MFP set me up for, but was struggling sticking to 1240 per day, so want to give this a shot and see if it works better for me. Thank you!
