  • Me too! I have bought more shorts this summer than I have since I was in college :) It's a beautiful thing. I went shopping with my mom over the weekend and I tried on a medium shirt and she actually said "I think you need that in a small." Amazing. I have never worn a small!!
  • I had my Mirena put in August of last year and am down almost 50 pounds since October. I am not diminishing anyone else's experience with it, but I just wanted to share that my own has been fine. I have been able to lose weight with the Mirena and have not had any side effects. If anyone reading this is interested, talk to…
  • I had a much bigger goal than you to start but in the beginning I had to give up alcohol. Period. It was too easy for me to go from one glass of wine to three and completely derail all my hard work. I told myself when I lost 10 pounds I could have a drink again and then I only did on the weekend. It's a little different…
  • That's awesome!! Congrats!
  • You can do it! You did it once before and know what works. A 50 pound weight loss is a huge accomplishment and you can get back to it! Just go back to what you know :) Good luck!
  • I am leaving for Disney one week from today. I have every intention of enjoying it and not stressing over the food. I will log as best I can while I am there but I am not going to eat what I want, when I want and I will worry about any repercussions when I get back to the real world! Vacation is a time for fun and I don't…
  • I started out eating 1200 when I began losing the weight. After I lost about 35 pounds I dropped my goal to only losing .5 instead of 2 lbs a week and that upped my calories. It took longer to lose the last 15 but I still did it! Keep up all the things you know - weigh food, log accurately and exercise!
  • Oh man! I never thought about putting a scoop of jelly in it. I bet that's yummy! It seems like everyone agrees on the Oikos - I'll have to try that one next. Thanks!
  • This couldn't have come at a better time! We are leaving for Disney World in a few weeks and was just thinking about all the yummy food I'll be eating. I know that Disney involves a lot of walking in the heat too but I plan to enjoy every Mickey shaped treat they have! Thinking about this will help assuage my fears when I…
  • This has happened to me a lot too since I lost the weight. I think it's just that people got used to seeing a heavier me that now even though I am at a healthy weight, I look "too skinny" to them. I mean, I weighed this much 15 years ago when I was in high school and no one had any concerns about me being too skinny then!…
  • I like logging. I work in accounting and numbers in little boxes that show me pie charts and results make me very happy :) I know that's weird, but it completely works for me. I wouldn't find writing things down in a notebook any easier. My phone is almost always on me and I am a creature of habit so most of the foods I…
  • It took me 6 months to lose my original goal of 44ish pounds. Since then I have lost a few extra while trying to figure maintenance out. I've only been maintaining for a little over a month now. I plan on logging forever. It's the only consistent thing that has helped me lose the weight. I think the benefits far outweigh…
  • Bump cause I love pb2!!
  • I went to visit my dr for a routine checkup and she told me my blood pressure was so high I was in stroke territory. She gave me 90 days to make some lifestyle changes (lose weight) or get put on blood pressure medicine. 6 months and 47ish pounds later my blood pressure is just fine and I am healthier than I have been in a…
  • I toast a 100 calorie English muffin, spread a wedge of laughing cow cheese, put turkey and spinach on it and then poached eggs. It's my favorite breakfast on the weekends!
  • Me too!!!
  • I'm 5'6" and my goal was 130. I am actually at 127 right now because I am still trying to figure my maintenance numbers out. I don't want to go any lower and my high is 132 so it's a 5 pound range. You just have to be comfortable with you!!
  • Light and fit Greek yogurt - banana cream - my absolute fav! I top it with 1/3 of a serving of Special K red berries and it's perfect! It's my breakfast every morning, except the yogurt flavor changes :)
  • For me it depends on the distance and speed. If I walk two miles at a good brisk pace - break a sweat, have to catch my breath - then yes, it's exercise. But strolling isn't to me. And I don't usually count anything under a mile either.
  • I work somewhere where my choice of lunch is readily available. My go-to when I couldn't decide what I wanted was fried chicken and mashed potatoes. No veggie, no fruit and always a dessert. Once in a while is fine but we are talking 3 lunches a week.
  • I eat below where I am supposed to maintain. But for me it's more because I don't weigh my food and it gives me a margin of error. And I don't do it every day. I usually try to leave about 300 at the end of the week. And yes I have continued to lose but nothing drastic. I think I'm down 1 pound from where I started…
  • I am 5'6" and 130 and I am decently skinny. I think at 5'10" and 130 you would be too thin. Enjoy maintenance!!
  • I love that this has popped back up from 2013! In Raleigh myself :)
  • Mine has stuck in about a 3 pound range. I have a number that I don't mind going +/- 2 pounds on and so far I have stuck with that.
  • My "why" started out with a dr telling me I had to make some lifestyle changes or I was going to need to take BP meds. At 32 I felt waaaay too young for that. And in succeeding with weight loss my "why" has changed a lot. I find now that all the thing I always said I couldn't do - I am doing. Not only am I doing them - but…
  • Convict conditioning...that made me laugh! I mean I get the idea and it makes sense, but I giggled when I first saw it :) Thanks for the help!
  • I love it! I like seeing it in black and white. I work in accounting and I love being able to see it all there in front of me. The pie chart toally satisfies my inner-geek :) I am at maintenance now and totally plan on logging for as long as I need to.
  • In for yummy salsa recipes!
