I'm also having the same issue but also sometimes it will jump up and say my heart rate is like way over 200 and I know that's not right. I have been messing around with the tightness of the strap but I really don't like the clip part because that seems to not have a lot of strength and my theory is that the band is…

Hello all! I'm here because I'm awesome and I want to apply that to my whole life!

I'm totally supportive of you doing this! I just figure that if I'm looking to live a healthy life then what I fuel my body with should be there as well. I sometimes slip back into old habits, especially with soda, so I'd love the motivation to stay away from it!

I would just talk to them and let them know what you want to do. Personal training is about you and what you want with the guidance of a trainer. It seems more concerning to me that you seem to have difficulty contacting them at times? Or did I read that incorrectly?

Hi Sam! That's so cool that you are a carpenter! I'm useless with tools and probably borderline dangerous, lol. I have friends that are vegan and they have both done quite well with their weight loss and fitness journey. It's really a matter of balancing calories in with calories out. Find some exercise you love and foods…

I have an immune system issue so I'm more than familiar with getting sick but all I can do is work through it, get well enough, and then get back to the gym. It really sucks when I get into a solid routine and have to stop for a few days or a week. Though at the end of the day I just get back at it and it's all good. You…

I had mine pop once while doing physical therapy and my therapist was so worried at first but I just said that's how I am, I making popping noises!

I also can't take ibuprofen and the shots help me a lot. I also get one in my shoulder. My PCP doctor actually trained on how to do them so I just go see him and they hardly even hurt because he uses numbing agents first. It's not a fun activity but it's fairly quick and they can last me a year or so depending.

Mine pop some from time to time but it's never painful and in fact sometimes it's a relief. I do have some mild osteoarthritis in my knees and I have had surgery on one. Mostly the popping is from air/gas trapped in the joint that get relieved. If you notice any pain or reduction in range of motion then for sure go see a…

Look at your daily calories as a budget and then decide how you want to spend your calories on food throughout the day. Log everything - then you'll start seeing how many calories the food you are worried about has. Then you can look at something and think - is it worth the calories to eat? If you can make it work and stay…

And yet no one is talking about the risks of dihydrogen monoxide! 100% of the people that consume it die! 100% of cancer patients have consumed it! It can even kill people if you don't drink it! http://www.dhmo.org

My friend does beach body and loves it, seems to be working really well for him and some of my other friends. I've looked at the program and it's not something I want to do but as far as I know it works.

When I hit my goal weight I'm going to fork out the cash and get me one of those giant Lego sets that always seem to expensive. Like the $100-300 range sets, just depends on what is out when I hit my goal weight.

I was just thinking the same thing! Sign me up!

You put those bad boys together for a McNugget Quarter Pounder.

I have a FitBit, the original one, and I never use it. I used to use it back when I tracked steps but I haven't been doing that lately and I'm not sure if I will. I will say it's apparently well made because it's been through the wash twice and been dunked in a cup of coffee (thanks cat) and it still works!

This works for me as well or I limit those things to when I'm at a friend's house or out. Like I don't keep soda at home but when I'm out at a place with one of those coke freestyle machines then I get my cherry vanilla dr. pepper and enjoy it. I actually have some hershey's kisses that I got for Christmas from a friend…

I don't consider any foods technically off limits, except apples because my body seems to think they are poison and then I feel like I'm dying. That being said I'm also greedy and stingy with my calories. I don't buy a box of oreos because I have trouble with moderation with 2 cookies is 140 calories. I could eat all my…

When I do squats now it's a routine with the actual squat followed by tricep extension. My trainer set me up doing them that way because I was cheating too much on squats without weight, lol.

Every time I see this all I can think is just how magical and majestic that beard is.

The best is an actual running track, at least for me anyway. I'm also terrified of the treadmill though.

I was down about 135 lbs and I plateaued for months, no weight movement at all. The bad part is I ended up getting so frustrated that I stopped paying attention to my food and then other stuff went on and, long story short, I'm back up and losing again. It got to the point where every time I saw the same number I thought I…

Really the only thing I like about morning workouts - I mean like 9 AM - is the gym is really quiet and it's mostly just friendly older people working out. Otherwise I'd work out in the evening but that's a lot of interacting with people...

Well by the very definition of the word "too much" then sure, you probably can, but it would be hard to do. I'm pretty sure you'd feel really sick when you hit the too much point. Vegetables are nice because they are low in calorie density so much away is what I say! Now if for some reason you seem to be having issues…

I always try and see ahead of time if there's nutritional information available. I also try and make suggestions on where to go based on places I know have things I love that are still within my calorie range - for example the bangkok curry and noodles and company or the salad at chipotle. If you really don't have access…
