The best advice I have for rice noodles is follow the cooking directions and don't over cook - they aren't as forgiving as wheat pasta. To me it all tastes the same.

When you are sick the best thing to do is working on getting well. Your body needs rest and time to heal. Don't worry about the weight loss, as long as you are living a healthy lifestyle you'll be fine. Just don't let the illness derail you forever - get well and get back on it! I actually weigh in monthly because I used to do daily and it started making me a little too crazy about fluctuations. Right now I'm focusing on my fitness levels and how my clothes fit instead of weight.

For me this extends to my fitness equipment as well - I hate if someone else touches my settings, even the trainer. I think that comes from my friend that thinks it's funny to mess around with other people though so that doesn't help. I'm good with doing my own settings thank you. :D

It works for me a lot better when I know someone else knows what I'm doing. That's why having a personal trainer works so well for me because I really don't want to explain why I'm eating whole pizzas for dinner the night before working out. Though that's not the only reason I don't do things like that but it helps, lol.

Personally I really like the book Anatomy of Strength Training because it does a fairly good job of showing the exercises and exactly what muscles you are working. There's also good option for doing body weight exercises which are nice because you don't need to buy anything else.
