  • So far I've done the Mud Factor race in June. I was supposed to do another one, a charity 3k, but storms kept me away - I did end up doing my milage on the treadmill though. Upcoming I have a 5k on July 30th and the end of my running class and then a 5k run at the airport down the airstrip in August. Doing another mud run…
  • I am so proud of you for recognizing the issue and pushing yourself past what you know is there to do what needs to be done. You've been a great supportive of mine and for that I'm so grateful!
  • Oh and another of Cooper
  • This first one is my cat Cooper YAY CATS!!
  • Plus there's the calorie burn from the begging and crying!
  • I love giving motivation and having friends on here - count me in!
  • Have you had a fasting blood draw and an A1C test done? A1C is a good test to indicate your average glucose levels over time and I used to run them all the time at my old job. Last time I had fasting blood work done my glucose level was elevated but the doctor ran an A1C and it was within normal range. Basically being…
  • Right now I'm loving Trader Joe's handful of... trail mix packets and Kind bars. I also like pumpkin seeds but I have to fight with the cats when I eat them. Cats are weird. My trainer recommended green pepper and cottage cheese, it's ok, but it's no turkey snack bites. I can't get enough of those turkey snack bites!
  • Mine is a mash-up of Doctor Who and Doodles - DrWhoodles. I was working on some doodle drawings related to Doctor Who when I used that name the first time.
  • Let's be friends!! I have a lot to lose and I love my polar heart rate monitor!
  • Hi Angelas! I'm also an Angela!
  • It really does matter when the pain occurred, where it's at, and how it feels. When I first started doing more advanced squats I did have a day after where I was in a lot of pain when standing up and I really thought something was wrong. I talked to my trainer and since it wasn't an issue in a joint he said to just give it…
  • I had a similar thing happen as well! I lost 135 lbs, was riding my bike all the time and starting to run races. Then I had to have surgery and that was followed by fibromyalgia. Then a bunch of life stuff happened but now I'm back on track and getting the weight off again. Nice to meet you!
  • This is me like all of the time lately. I'm hungry, I'm tired, I'm more hungry, and I don't know what to eat. So I can tell you that, yep, others go through this too. Maybe instead of focusing so hard on "eating right" you may want to just focus on keeping up with your calorie deficit and exercising. And it's ok to…
  • Awesome, thanks! At this point I think my biggest concern is actually the mud because it sort of hit me later that I'd get dirty, lol.
  • One morning at the gym I was waiting to use one of the recumbent bikes and gave up because it was clearly ladies social hour. I'm surprised they were also knitting.

  • I am! I'm running Mud Factor on May 17th and I keep thinking I've lost my mind!
  • For the most part I eat what I want however what I want has changed a lot.
  • I only put in 1 calorie for activities because I don't eat back my exercise calories. My intake is based on my amount of exercise and was set up by my old trainer. I'd love to track my calories burned without it showing up in the diary for food.
  • Drink from the bottle and it starts out with more resistance
  • I had surgery on my leg and foot about three years ago now to try and repair an injury/pain issue. They ended up cutting the lower part of my calf muscle and reattaching it below the tendons in order to relieve tightness. It took a long time to rehab and I still don't have the full amount of strength in the leg. I find…
  • I'd check and make sure the settings are correct on your weight and such and also make sure the strap is in the right spot and tight enough. I have issues with mine going wonky and I think it has something to do with it getting twisted while I work out. Either that or it doesn't like me... one of those two.
  • This has happened to me with a lot of foods, pretty much most foods actually, so it's really weird. Now when I eat something it's to stop being hungry and I no longer get anything beyond that. Even with foods I used to really love like cupcakes and cookies. It's actually been a little jarring because it's like losing a…
  • Feel free to be my friend! I'm active and random!
  • I used to get peanut butter chicken all the time at a local Chinese restaurant, I think it's kind of like this: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Peanut-Butter-Chicken/
  • I've done both on my own and with a trainer and had success both times. For me I went with a trainer just to force myself to go back to the gym and start working out again. It was nice to be able to pay someone to figure out the workouts and an eating plan, saved me the confusion of figuring it out on my own. Though at…
  • Is there a running store in your town? Ours have running groups and such. You could also look online to see if there are any running clubs where you are - they can sometimes set you up with running buddies that are at your same level.
  • I had leg surgery a couple years ago and I was on crutches and did physical therapy for 3-4 months. When I was able to I started looking up those "sit and be fit" videos on youtube and doing those. Also as soon as I was able I started riding my bike again. I had issues walking but I was able to get a bike going so I did…
