  • BUMP That's what I figure, but I am seriously confused by it too...
  • I actually have mine in the kitchen. Strange I know, but seeing it all the time reminds me of my goal and helps curb those cravings a bit.
  • Good luck and add me as a friend if you're interested. I'm doing really well and I'm sure you will too!

  • Agreed, diet is best, since you don't want the blood sugar spike. The throwbacks aren't really any better than the high fructose kinds. I ADORE Diet Cherry Pepsi.
  • Everyone has such good ideas! I really appreciate the advice... I do take measurements, but haven't for a little while because the last time I measured I weighed nearly 10lbs less that the time before, and hadn't lost an inch anywhere. I just figured it was because I didn't do it right one of the times, since I would have…
  • I've really tried to watch sodium, but with my busy life, it's all but impossible to find foods with small enough amounts. I have maybe a 15 min lunch break at work, so something microwaved is kinda my best option, at least better than fast food. I like soup, but even the "low sodium" ones are super high.
  • I had back surgery at 24 for a herniated disc, so I understand the misery of being in pain every moment. If your Dr. isn't helping, find someone else. It could be a lot of things, serious or not. I was told that for some reason my hip flexors are very tight and thats a big part of the residual pain I have. I have several…
  • EAT MORE! You have to eat enough to live everyday and everytime I go under my calorie net I start to GAIN weight back. How many calories does the site say you should be eating? EAT THEM! Let me share a story with you. When I was 12 my hormones kicked in and my skinny as a rail body became very "womanly" in a year. I…
  • If your shoulders are getting beat up bad maybe you need a smaller band size. Try a 46 or 48. The support is supposed to come from the band, not the straps. Have you had yourself measured recently? It's so worth it. I've lost a cup size and about half a band size since losing 20 lbs so I am sure you are no different.
  • Weigh train. You wont break a sweat but it burns calories and helps your body burn more just sitting around. Stick to your calorie goal and you'll do just fine. It's not forever, and you have to get this under control. Best of luck to you and feel better ASAP!
  • Mine is from Walmart and its actually really nice. It looks just like the one the model is wearing in my profile. Has extra fabric to hide fat and suck you in. I just wear a bum cover with mine when walking about. Best advice I can give is try them on! I tried on 3 or 4 before finding a good one.
  • Friggin' awesome! I've dropped 20 in 2 months. Still have 35-40 more to go!
  • Eggs and turkey sausage. Not the best on sodium or sat fat, but they keep me full all morning and have only 300 calories in 3 links and 2 eggs.
  • It's not so simple. Weight loss isn't simply calories in calories out. I wish it was, since that would make it so much more simple. I am losing closer to 2lbs a week though I am eating to lose 1lb a week. I eat as few carbs as I can and try to eat a lot of protein. 50% carbs 25% protein 25% fat. Even if I don't hit the gym…
  • Happened to me too... it's just yor body geting shocked into it. Enjoy it. It gets harder.
  • YES!!! Eat them, enjoy them, use them to motivate you to keep working out! I call my workout calories my CHOCOLATE calories. My ICE CREAM calories. I don't always use them for that, but it helps me feel like I can treat myself a little even on a diet.
  • I'm not exactly an Atkins girl, but I try to eat as much protein as possible since it is much more filling and helps build muscle. My new favorite breakfast is 2 eggs and 3 links of turkey sausage. Only 290 cals and super filling! You gotta give yourself a bit of time to make it (about 15 extra mins every morning) but I…
  • At restaurants that give you chips, bread etc. tell the server NOT to bring it. If it's not there, you wont touch it. Also, log the calories BEFORE you eat them. I find the guilt of going over stops me from binging out. It's super hard, but don't be too hard on yourself. You are human and mistakes happen, but there is…
  • Invest in a HRM. It's worth every penny and can help you figure out what you actually are burning. As for the 20 min walk, is it all at one time or is it 5 min here and there? if its all at once, then I would count it as a bit of cardio, but if it's broken up into bits, I would just consider it part of your activity level.
  • You are amazing! Congrats! And keep it up!

  • Try living in Phoenix. We've been BBQing all winter. And now it's getting too hot to workout outside. After it hits 110 we all hide indoors.
  • Do a search on trans fat, which is basically what margarine is. Butter is a saturated fat, but it is 100% natural. The benefits of a few less calories far outweigh the artery clogging risks.
  • I have had this scale for about 2 weeks. obviously it is hard to see a difference in that time frame, however, I am very happy with it. It does fluctuate maybe 1% in a day depending on hydration, weight, etc. But I think it's well within an acceptable range. It also measures water, muscle, and bone, which is super nifty.…
  • The best way to boost your metabolism is to cut back on your carb intake and fill up on protein and ::GASP:: fats. You will feel fuller and your body will have to work harder to convert these foods into stored fat, hence, boosting your metabolism. Excercise is key in boosting metabolism as well.
  • how do you spend your days off?
  • Enjoy your ice cream for your day of good eating. PS I'm also an Arizonan.
  • Protein helps build muscle and tends to be more filling than carbs. I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you were going over on your carbs, I would worry, since those spike blood sugar and make it harder to loose weight. Just keep it within reason.
  • Weight Watchers Carrot Cakes. 90 calories and soooo good. A co-worker got me hooked.
  • I had a simmilar situation. I worked out 3-4 times a week for 30-45 a day and didn't drop a lb in 2 months. I swithced up my diet a bit in Feb. and lost 2 lbs. I joined at the very end of Feb. and have already lost 10 more lbs. Counting all your calories keeps you honest. I still workout 3- 4 times a week, but now I know…
  • I'm 26. I'll add you, a bunch of my friends on here are 20's too.
