Dear Astral, That's a very good perspective to remember. Its not just the number, but the fact of eating and exercising. We should get points for that too. Maybe I need to get a big pack of gold stars and put one on each day that I do well with this. Thank you
-
Thanks...that's very good advice.

Wow you're a superstar! Especially BECAUSE not every day is perfect. Great pics and at 5 10" you look already at goal! What a nice inspiration to all of us.

My co-workers say NOTHING about my weight loss. That's a bit disarming, and my parents who criticized me as too fat...were so concerned that I was not eating right when I lost weight. Its no win when you try to talk to doubters, I agree with the person above who just honestly said Meh...forget them. Or just say its REALLY…

Honey, You do look beautiful in both, but I can see the weight loss. Keep similing!

OMG...this was the hardest workout I've ever done. It was such work. I went a loop on against the flow of the Lazy River in about 5 minutes, and it was a killer. The depth was at most 3'8" and 2'8" at the least. There were a few others there...breathing as hard as me. I would not count this as a walk on a pretty day...it…

Wow...that is some difference. And you likely didn't even realize it since it was over such a long period of time, but WOW!

You look like you have a GREAT sense of humor.

Ouch! What a horrible place to read this too...in public, on FACEBOOK no less. I'd write a long letter, let is sit over night, re-read it the next morning and then pretend you're the one receiving it instead of writing it. Check in with your feelings now and the let it ALL go. Really, all you need is love and this is…

I enjoy adding a bit of chicken to my Peanut Sauce

Ohhh....loved to have your chimmicura recipe, (although I can't spell it)

UGHHH....I was just about to give birth, I was all ready for a c-section after hours of my labor going nowhere...and in walks my doctor. He has to weigh me??? ANd right on his heels... in walks my mother, my teeny, tiny petite mommy who spends many waking hours worried about her pudgy daughters. She was just is in time to…

You can do it, we can help....and then we will come over and paint your house and build a deck too :) Or try repeating a few things you'd expect from a loving mom or grandmother: You're in control - keep it up - it will be okay! - You're doing what everyone wishes in getting active - stop weighing yourself for a while -…

Darling, inquire about it in a nice way, ask him to why?...and if the answer is anything but of course I'll turn it off....throw him back!
-
That is simply wonderful! You are so beautiful - congratulations!

I am going to enjoy the day, but not go much beyond my calories, if at all. I know you don't gain it all back in one day, but the Blabbsaurus Rex comes back around my middle A LOT faster and meaner than it comes off. I can tell it takes me a good three or four days to get back all that I lost in one bad eating day.

If you dress warmly, with a couple of layers and a good wind jacket, a good pair of gloves and hat....and can stand a bit of a chill for the first ten minutes until you warm up, then you're home free. When I was regularly jogging, there were only about 3 days all Iowa winter that I couldn't go outside. I would take a…

Enjoy your accomplishments so far....and just think at about 30 days from now, it will all be a distant yummy memory as you're down another 6-8 pounds. Keep on track and thank goodness you're supporting a local business! And just drink a bunch of water too...that helps me a lot on binge days.

I scare them out when I jiggle all over the treadmill

Great Question. I read someone's blog and they were making goals for each chunk of weight they were going to lose. So I did the same and already I think I might move some things around. But here are some ideas: First 5 pounds lost, new crazy colored socks because they always fit. New workout clothes that match, no baggy…

Ouch. Whatever you do...don't run on an injury because it wont get better and you will likely hurt it more and in the end lose more running time. I would see a doc right away. I can't say what you did, but it sounds exactly like a stress fracture i got last year -exactly the same place and I had to stop running for six…

I typically lose 5-8 pounds the first week I start a diet because I am so heavy and full of water weight. But the only way weight loss continues is to diet and exercise. I used to run 3-5 times per week, but this time, I joined an exercise class. It's 45 minutes of cardio and strength training done in intervals. But…

I will go to my 5am exercise class and not say one word about how early it is or how achey I feel. I will try to do this five days in a row.....starting tomorrow :)
