Unless you are like, um my friends and get it homegrown for free. (I live in BC....it's pretty rampant here haha)

Yes, this. My friend, um, also told me that using a vaporizer might help. Also, save enough calories for when you toke...or eat meal right after. Plan food ahead of time..

Does this happen a lot? This may be a sleep disorder-have you had a sleep study done? ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2945843/

Neat!!

I make an omelette with three egg whites, one full egg, tons of spinach, bit of asiago cheese or parmesean. Yum.
-
Right now I'm eating two fried eggs with steamed spinach and vinegar on top, with raw fresh tomato from the garden, steamed green beans with a bit of butter and salt and a 1/4c of canned pink salmon. Delish!

Woo. Lots of it. I understand OPs point of changing approach. Why don't we stay on topic of it instead of battling over who's criticizing who/what...lol. Also, why isn't there differing terms for the prescribed or proven supplements that are needed vs the snake oil stuff?

Stretch more before and after? I'm dealing with inner thigh groin to knee pain a lot and stabby pain usually means a bit of a strain for me. I'm trying to be careful to stretch wayyy more now before and after.

Wrong forum-you might get some better answers in the food and nutrition forum :)

@jburke141 thanks for the info. It's like an itch in my throat that causes this dry hacking cough feeling. Like as if I improperly inhaled something.lol. I have concerns over needing epi pen in our first aid kit for when we go camping etc for emergencies and think perhaps I'll speak to our Dr just in case. Mine was only…

I have hardly any food issues or allergies except sinus stuff in the spring but fresh pineapple has been bothering me, and eating raw nuts have been starting to give me this dry hacking cough right after, like weird sensations. Like OAS I assume?

Eggs have the most protein for cheap here. The suggestion of pancakes was a good one! Cheap and you can mix up add on ingredients like banana, cinnamon, etc. You can't go to more than one foodbank here. You have to register with one and they don't want you going to any in another community etc. The smaller towns have it…

You can get cheap frozen meals ($1, small Michaelina's or no name sometimes). It's cheapest to find those cooked deli chickens vs fresh/frozen in the stores. They are not big but you can get the most use out of them. Poster above had it bang out. $5 will get you pretty much one item..lol. Bread has even gone up a lot so we…

Oh I like that losertown page! Thanks for sharing.
-
Also, the point of saying tht is that it isn't reliable for what items you can get, or would want to eat. When people say just go to the foodbank-it's not that simple.
-
No, not is the case. Each food bank is individual and not all are the same. The one in our town absolutely gives items up to 2-3 years expired, dented and damaged items. Of course PB and a few other items are not but they give what the stores donate what they can't sell. I'm not saying the food that is expired is…

I eat oatmeal with psyllium husk (added fiber) with fruit in the Am for about 230-250 calories. My lunch and dinner are both fairly big meals (450-520 cals) but Ive been snacking and hungry in the evenings as well and don't have enough calories left for later. I tried to try to eat bigger in the am but it didn't work-I…

Someone mentioned pricematching-yes this! This works best at Walmart. Also, you can get Checkout 51, Snap (formerly snapsave) for $ back on items too. Flyerify on the phone and you can see all the flyers (for pricematching) in your area .

Sorry, to the people recommending buying frozen bag veggies for a buck, rice for 1.50 etc. Those are not canadian prices. Rice, small bag $5 ish, frozen veggies sometimes on sale for small bag of corn or peas for $2.50 but 3-5$. The prices here are way more than the US. Also, if you try to find a job while on provincial…

ahahahah this made me laugh.

I felt like the only thing that was going to happen was that I die from health issues. Definite wake-up call.

Some of the cheapie things we buy are from Superstore. Rice crackers ($1-1.25) for snacks, rice cakes ($1.50), and also down the international aisle buy 99c instant noodles in a pack (not the flavoured stuff) but the steam noodles. Great for stirfries! Also cheap is the rice vermicelli for noodle dishes. We buy only…

Hi OP. I'm sorry you are going through this. I also live in BC but we are a family of 6 on one income and I have a disability but do not qualify for any govt help due to my husband's income (working poor). Feel free to PM me or friend add me to talk more. We have struggled a lot with food and have had some great tips given…

I make mine on Udi's gluten free crust because I can't have wheat. They turn very thin but I love them. A full one with bit of sauce, 60g mozza, fresh basil, few tidbits pineapple, and thin sliced tomato runs me about 650cals. It's sooooo good that I am going to have for dinner now, lol

I haven't read all the responses yet but gym is for fitness. Everyone can work on fitness right? They are big or obese because mainly of their diet which is nothing to do with using equipment, etc. I understand where you are coming from for sure but would appreciate larger "active/fit" people in gyms than only thin fit…

Following because we are picking our peaches this week :)

I want this. Mmm.
-
Bbq steak, corn on the cob, mixed greens, green beans, and maybe grilled peaches for dessert.

I ate cotton candy and fries last night at a fireworks display/event with my kids. Woke up in the middle of the night with horrible stomach pains, and regretted it right away. Ugh.
