Take the time to find out what you truly like to do activity wise and start there. I HATE running and will only do it if someone/thing was chasing me but I love walking. I now walk 3 times a week and over the last year have lost 30lbs. Now I started walking 2 years ago so once I did that and felt good about it I started to…

I love this question as I thought it too. But now that I'm down 30lbs I can say that they haven't really changed yet. my hips, waist, and thighs were the first to go...But before I gained the weight I was a cup size smaller and a 36. I am currently a nice 38 C so I hope to keep what I have got while I lose the other 30lbs…

there is fit music on Itunes, It's a free podcast. I love their workouts because it's not something I would normally listen to but they are designed by the military to keep your heart rate up. That's what makes them fun. I always turn to them when my songs get old.

try finding the Fit Music podcast. It's free by the US military and it is designed to keep you at an optimal heartrate/intensity.

last year my doctor put me on a pill to get me started. It made me so Jittery that I did lose 10lbs on it but I gained them all back. This time I told her that I would do it myself. I can't feel like I drank too much coffee at midnight anymore.

i understand. have some protein and see if that helps.

you can test your scale by making it level and putting a Known weight on it. for example a 10 lbs. dumb bell or a 5 lbs. bag of sugar. and try it a couple of times. If it still changes from one time to another it is time for a new scale.

I hate oatmeal too! but you won't be able to tell by the 2 gallon size bags I have in my pantry. Try it baked. it's not mushy, more like a cake/brownie texture. Trust me this is the only why I will eat it. and in the winter I go through a lot of it. The other great thing is it comes out like a loaf if you bake it in a…

DON'T!! Just start with one thing better each day. For example, I learned that the holiday candy was throwing my sugar up to the sky. I started eating 1 piece less each day and after 1 week felt better. Just try to start small you don't have to eat nothing but veggies for a week to get back to it. something small will put…

My mother has done something similar. It took me stating into her eyes that this was my battle that I am not going to listen to her say I can't win the battle or anything negative and that if she continued I would not see her again... needless to say this was a month after her comment and I had calmed down quite a bit. 6…

I'm 5'6" currently and at 205lbs. My goal is 156. I am 30 years old. In high school (11 years ago) I was 158lbs. In collage I was 136lbs. I felt best around 150lbs. I have since figured out that when I was 136 I was really mal-nurished (didn't really have money for food in collage, and walked 30 miles a week due to no car…

a friend mentioned it to me. I had been keeping a journal of food but wasn't doing the nutrition part. the tool for Food really helped me. I can see exactly where I over indulge and stop it. I have also learned that the amount of sugar in my diet was an alarming number. I started to cut back in little ways and I am feeling…

I have had 2 instances of falling with style. 1. Running on the indoor track - finally feeling the speed and enjoying it... suddenly do 3 summersaults in a row and manage to stand right back up. I tried to pretend nothing happened my the guys playing basketball and my walking buddies all saw and were laughing at my…

isn't that the hardest part of weight loss. My best suggestion is that when you have your bad day eat some fruit that you like. Some how that reminds me that good food taste good and that I can do it again tomorrow. Just try eating the fruit right after the "bad" food.

I'm right there with you. Husband and I agreed we would be healthier with less weight on both of us before having a baby. Let's see if we can do this together. I have been on MFP since February but hadn't started using it till september. One thing I learned is that it has every food possible so I can't let that be an…

what really helps me is logging in everyday, and reading what everyone else is doing. Also my husband has started to ask where my food diary is at and makes sure to cook something for dinner within my calorie budget. My final motivator is that my girls that i walk with in the morning... I don't have any of their phone…

I think your on the right track. start making some new friends and when your current friends get jealous. Just tell them the truth. You love them dearly but their actions and reactions don't support the lifestyle changes you are making, and right now you need every once of support you can get. So if they can support you by…

Look for a yogurt pie recipe. I make one with a walnut crust, frozen no added sugar strawberries, 1 cool whip container and thing of yogurt. You freeze it for a few hours and then thaw about 20 minutes prior to serving. Just don't ask me quantities of any of it because I never get it to the original recipes. Also, fruit…

I love baked oatmeal and it's quick. On sunday I make a bread pan with it then divide it into baggies for the week. then I can zap a baggie for 30 seconds or so and eat it with a fork or spoon. I use the cooking light recipe from October 2003. I just cut the sugar and add more nuts for protein.

May be you need a buddy! I think I am in a similar place so let's do this together. I know my hardest thing is planning meals. but that I do better when they are planned. So you and me let's start simple by not skipping breakfast and planning it out. How about some oatmeal with nuts for protein? I'll reply tomorrow…

I stared at my local rec center 2 years ago with this same issue. We have a call called Real Women on Weights. Its 8-10 people twice a week. What I learned is that you don't add bulk but you do add power. I can now bench press 65 lbs and I started around 3lbs. Look for something at your Gym your biggest mistake will be…
