  • Trade your chair in for a Bender Ball (or whatever they call them) causes you to use your core more to sit up straight and you can bust out a few crunches every hour. People might think your silly, but I bet the idea takes off... we have 3 people at work doing it now.
  • MFP is usually pretty accurate, but I agree with the others, you cant get more accurate than wearing a heart rate monitor. I usually do that at least the first few times I try a new workout, then I have a baseline for what the machine says compared to what is "the truth"
  • Wow that is awesome... you are helping me reaffirm the fact that I have been eating WAY too many carbs. I wont be able to get as low as you are on the carbs but I am for sure going to cut down. Thank you for the inspiration
  • You need to know if your are gaining Lean muscle mass, which would be my first guess. I would suggest a scale with a body fat % reader. Then take your weight minus the inverse of your body fat percentage. For instance I weigh 189lbs as of this morning. 189-(189*.0215) = 148.365 Lean Muscle If you are indeed working out…
  • On top of a turkey sandwich of course. Better than cheese

  • Appears there are a ton of people with Netflix on here. Watched that documentary and it made me want to get the juicer out too.

  • For sure this depends on your lean muscle mass. When I completed p90x befor my son was born I was 6' even and 182lbs but only 15% bf. couldn't see abs or anything like that but I looked good and people told me so. 3 years later I'm back at it and down to 190 but 22% bf and know that 8lbs isn't going to get me back without…
  • Makes me want to eat 2 Kit Kats
  • I dont have a lot of advice here but I am curious to see your progress. My wife also suffers from Fibromyalgia, and I often have recommended Yoga. The only Yoga we have currently is Yoga-x from the p90x collection and that was too much for her. I have finished the tape a few times now (2hours+) at it was one of the most…
  • There needs to be a way to search in order to find the twin! SW:215 CW:204 GW:175 6'0" Male Best I achieved last year was 184, this year Im going to do it
  • Rochester Hills!
  • Personally I think p90X and any other exercise is too much.
  • This may be one of the more distrubing posts I have ever seen on MFP. Either way, They make a product called Nair for men. Smells pretty bad, but its a cream that you can put all over and wait about 5-10 min and then jump in the shower. Worked pretty good for me once
  • This is the funniest thing I have read today! Thanks!
  • Eminem - Not Afraid Just seems like the type of song that makes you want to work hard for yourself and forget everything else.
  • Right now I am trying to stay under 40 grams of fat and 12 grams of Saturated. I Think I am at 50% Carb 30% Protein and 20% Fat Im having a hard time getting to 30% Protein every day so I guess I could take 5% off of that. Is that what you recommend?
  • You serious abuot this one??? Where is this button? LOL

  • Go with a Polar brand, they are the best. My recommendation is the Polar HR6 Best value for the money and it counts calories and is waterproof. Matt
  • Dont forget avacado's They make a great substitute for cheese or mayo on your sandwiches. I eat 1/4 of one on my turkey sandwich almost every day for lunch.
  • Not a lot of calories, but seems like quite a bit of fat intake. Should swich to egg whites.
  • Seems like heath food store BS to me. In fact I remember reading one time that drinking distilled water was actually bad for you. Using distilled water can be dangerous because of the rapid loss of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, chloride) and trace minerals like magnesium, deficiencies of which can cause heart beat…
  • I only wish I could do that.... was thinking about that all day yesterday and still didnt do it. Of course I have a 5 month old that gets me up 2-3 times a night, so that isnt helping.
  • Any guys doing the 30 day shred? Im thinking about starting just because I like the time much more than p90x. I did 1 round of p90 last year, is this along the same lines?
  • I guess that would have been a smart thing to add... makes 4 burgers. YOu can make indivisual if you use the small 4-5oz cans of Bumblebee Salmon 1 Egg scallion & garlic a piece of 2% american on top really makes it yummy!
  • Yeah, I see it a LOT on here... must be Dear Fiance. I guess Im just getting old.
  • Another Great supplement for sore muscles and somewhat joint pain is called DRibose Most often it is found in powder form, but it makes a HUGE difference when working out heavy you dont feel it as much the next day.
  • Which P90X Workout? It depends, although 900+ seems like a LOT for any of the discs.
  • A good estimate is around 600 calories. Depends on your height, weight and of course Heart Rate. I suggest a Heart Rate Monitor to accuratly enter this data.
  • I really dont see what is diet about this... Still not a very good thing to be eating. However, I did make funfetti and sierra mist zero last night, and I added 4 scoops of vanilla protein powder, so that they have about 8g of protein per cupcake. Still very delicious and now there is some valuable nutrient in there.
  • I recommend the Yoga block too, unless you are really flexible. I have both types of pullup bars, the one you have and the one samseed recommends. My question is this: Why doesnt it fit in the door, is the door frame too wide? I know you can buy a kit to make the Extreme gym wider.
