Very, very familiar with too much work and not enough hours in the day! All kinds of things to stay stressed about - at work and home. Fundamental issue is time management. Some things I do - Prioritize my work - look very hard each day at what has to get done. Makes it easy to leave some things for tomorrow. Realize that…

FitBit seems to be the most popular based on what I have seen other MFP friends posting.

Othelie - not sure what your goal is, but it is likely a marathon, not a sprint. Don't judge yourself or your ability to commit to a better you based on four days. Find your routine (diet and/ or exercise). Commit to it every day (promise that person in the mirror)! If chocolate is the problem, get it out of the house (or…

Slawless - you're being too hard on yourself (something I know how to do all too well). As the others have mentioned, you haven't fallen off the wagon. You hit a pot hole - but you and the wagon are still headed toward your goal! You didn't cause irreparable harm to your body - you took a flyer. The regret you are showing…

Glad you are recommitting yourself to getting into shape. Also glad to hear your bother is involved. Having an accountability partner is a big help, even if it's just someone to run with. Hopefully you will find a routine that works for you and helps you accomplish your goals. Friend me if you want some virtual support!…

I have my tunes with me so hum or sing when I run (and no one else is around). Makes the miles go fast. I also guilt myself into going a little further than the last run ("you're weak if you can't go as far or farther than the last time you ran")! Good luck!

Thanks for posting and glad you are getting back to your MFP routine. Good for you to realize the value of this website and looking to recommit to using it. It sounds like you are in a season of change and can use this as an opportunity to establish or re-establish a diet and exercise routine. I can't empathize with the…

First congrats on the upcoming wedding - what a wonderful time in life! Second, DO NOT GIVE UP on your diet and exercise routine! You have accomplished a lot and can continue to lose. Everyone runs into hurdles on their journey. Keep working towards your goal weight and relax your timeline expectations. But do not give up…

So very, very sorry for your loss. I can only offer my prayers for you and your family. May God help guide you through this very terrible time. Thank you for sharing your story. Yes I will hold my son (and wife) much longer tonight. God bless.

In case it isn't obvious from the other posts already, you look great and should be proud of what you have accomplished! Yes, the side by side pics from Oct and Feb show an obvious loss of weight. You mention doing strength training now - I would think that will help you with body comp results. Is there someone to help you…

XO - I applaud your effort - your motives are exactly where they should be - a healthier you and your husband. Don't ever stop making that a priority in your marriage. Change is hard (especially for us guys) but with marriage comes a lot of change (and compromise). Continue to impress upon him how important workouts and…

My first thought when I read you lost 45 pounds was - outstanding! That is such an accomplishment. What motivated you to start and stay committed last year? Is there someone that can help as an accountability partner for you? MFP is a good place to pick up a lot of those in the virtual world. Also, can you take the…

Welcome adding you as a friend. I am mostly here for strength activities, but do try and log in daily. I will do my part to help with accountability! Congrats on the renewed effort to make another run at achieving your goal!

Just read your profile comments. "it's where you're going that counts"; I bet you're also getting stared at for completely different reasons now! You set a goal then for where you wanted to go - look what you have accomplished - you are to be congratulated for that!! Your body surely is in a better place today! Your…

Hey Worthy - I only visit "Baby" area occasionally. Like your reference to Proverbs. And based on your accomplishments so far, you already can serve as an inspiration. Way to go!!

Unexpectedly light traffic after work!!

What an amazing story! You are a true inspiration!! I hope you find the source of the seizures and can get them controlled. You have so much to offer this world - more than just the MFP community. I hope others outside MFP get the benefit of hearing your story!

Good for you to take the high road today (the one that bypasses the drive through)! Mine was getting a Lean Cuisine for lunch instead of fast food. Thanks for your post!!

If you can work out on a treadmill, then I expect you can run. Pace yourself at first. Since you already walk, try increasing the pace of your stride. Then maybe mix running with walking, before moving to just jogging. Find a duration that you are comfortable with at first, too. Your body is usually good about telling you…

Agree with many of the comments above, especially about getting the "crap" food out of the house - remove the temptation. I see you've joined another gym and committed to work outs 3 days a week. Good for you! You obviously know what it takes to get your weight down. Hopefully the gym can help you with maintenance work…

Congrats on your progress so far!! Welcome adding you as a friend!

Glad you pointed this out, UnderCoverShy. I wonder if it is possible for OP to leave home (despite affect on mom, which is likely short term)? Lots of good suggestions in this posting, but may require leaving that location to try them.

Thanks for those kind words but I did try to work as a volunteer in a church before but did not find much help there. I don't have many friends since the ones i had left for other cities or countries and the strangers look down upon me as not to be fit person in this society. My family calls be a bag of burden , good for…
