Eggs are really helpful to me when I'm pressed for time or just don't feel like cooking. They're cheap, high in protein, and versatile. My current go-to is scrambling 2 eggs with spinach, cherry tomatoes, and mushrooms. Add a little shredded cheddar at the end. Pair with a toasted English muffin with some butter. Under 500…

An hour of step aerobics is pretty intense for your first week back to the gym. I agree with what some others have said- do what you like; don't do the stuff that you hate. If the classes are included in your membership, I'd suggest even planning to leave early. Like week one, do 20 minutes; week 2 do 30 minutes, etc. No…

Great work! This is particularly encouraging to me because your start and goal weights are approximately the same as mine. I'm only 12 pounds in right now, but it's super-encouraging to get an idea of the difference losing 70 pounds is going to make in my body!

I agree- you're trying to go too fast. Start sloooooow, and speed up as you can.

Hooray you! You DO look fantastic, and I vote that it's time to buy your OWN jeans that fit! Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm not an expert, but I've been using this dvd for years and I really like it: http://www.amazon.com/Louise-Solomons-Yoga-Pilates-Solomon/dp/B0001EK2TO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1363495325&sr=8-3&keywords=louise+yoga

Man, what I've lost isn't nearly as interesting as an elephant penis. I guess I'll keep working...

I just got a FitBit Zip about a week ago. I can't compare them (never tried the other), but for what it's worth I love my FBZ. It really encourages me to be more active, and it's fun to compete with my friends who have them, too. And I especially love that you can sync it with MFP.

Yah, I already drink nothing but water, diet soda, and sometimes skim milk. That's why I'm skeptical that giving up only diet soda will make a difference. Plus, I drink water throughout the day (I'm a teacher, so I talk all day), and when it's time to eat, I always hate the idea of more water. I never drink soda unless I'm…

I think if you cut your hair, you'd be at your goal. :)

i like chicken barley soup. More filling than veggie soups, and good for you. I'm sure you can find a recipe on allrecipes.com. I stew a whole chicken in the crockpot; remove the chicken and bone it. Return the amount of meat you like to the crock pot. Add chopped carrots, celery, mushrooms, salt and pepper and/or whatever…

Yep, what she said. Your body needs sleep to heal itself, so give yourself as much sleep as possible when you're not feeling 100%

Yay! You look great! And I like the new outfit. Keep it up, and thanks for the encouragement!

You look fantastic! Thanks for the boost of encouragement!

Me too. I can't handle the temptation! But if you can, more power to ya!

Yah, that pretty much sums it up for me. :) Fantastic work! You've encouraged me tonight.

Ha-ha! I like your description of the product. :) Thanks for the warning. I had a similar (but apparently much more tragic) experience a couple weeks back. I had gone shopping with some friends and we decided on the spot where to eat (always bad for my calorie count) and I got a chicken sandwich that (thought delicious)…

I've lost 20 pounds, and I have only gone down one size. I'm not sure if it takes me so long because I'm tall (5'10") or because I tend to wear a size until I can't possibly wear it any more (both when it's getting too big and when it's getting too small). Anyway, it takes a long time for me to move down sizes.

Losing more slowly can be hard, since we all want fast results. But it's easier to keep it off that way. Also, don't expect perfection. I like to aim for and 80/20 balance. I try to make the right choices 80% of the time. It slows down your weight loss a little, but it keeps me from feeling deprived, so in the long run I…

It depends on a lot of stuff- your height, weight, speed, etc. If you google it, you can find a calorie calculator. I recommend trying a couple because some of them are WAY off. But the most accurate way to know is to use a heart rate monitor.

My response would depend on your answer to this question: can you limit yourself to a prescribed amount of sweets, or are you really out of control? If you can limit, I recommend buying a special, maybe more expensive treat, but only allowing yourself a specific amount (like one serving a day). If you don't have the…

It sounds like your blood sugar is dropping low in the mornings. You might look into having a fasting blood sugar test. But in answer to you question, someone else already mentioned the solution- protein and fat. Eggs, cheese, peanut butter, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, or ham are all good choices. Pair them with fresh…

Here are a couple of ideas that work pretty well for me: -consider working out before work. No matter how hard it is to roll out of bed in the morning, it's ALWAYS easier for me than working out after I get home from work. You might even sleep in your workout clothes; I find it helpful. -eat a healthy snack on the way home…

Things to consider: -You don't gain 4 pounds of fat in one week. You've almost certainly got some water gain happening there (or possibly muscle gain?) -Someone else mentioned your period. Is it your TOM? Cause we all know that messes stuff up (grr) -The scale is a fickle friend; it often doesn't reflect what's really…

Remember that the goal is not that you can do a specific move a specific number of times in a specific number of days. The point is that each time you work out you are getting closer, and each time you're getting healthier. Don't get hung up on the "expectations". Who cares if it takes you 30 days to get to level two? Or…

Aldi's is wonderful. You don't pay for the name brand. Also, dried beans and legumes, brown rice, rolled oats, quinoa, and barley are really good for you, and cheap. Buy frozen veggies and a whole chicken and make several batches of soup. Eggs, tofu, and whole grains have lots of good protein but aren't as expensive as…

Yah, 1 or 2 hours for a meal. But really, you will figure it out as you go. If you feel boated and "heavy" while you're dancing around, you didn't wait long enough. :)

This is funny. And my opinion is that back hair is gross. So is hair growing out of your ears or nose. The rest? Meh. No strong opinion.

Thanks everyone, for sharing!
