I am testing before and 2 hours after every meal for a while. I found cheap strips and meter on amazon, and just figured out a system that works for me: in the food diary, I use a food named pedometer count, one serving = one step but instead of steps it's actually listing meter readings. I agree with jojojo909090. once a pet is older you really have to think if you're prolonging their lives for them or for yourself. That being said, when my 3 year old dog needed a new hip we refinanced the house and used the equity to pay for it. I don't regret it for a minute, he was the best dog ever!
