  • Wow sounds great. Might try this. Thank you.
  • It's before I add in exercise cals. I think.
  • Same here!! But believe me it gets so much worse in level 3 :(. The chair squats seem like a piece of cake once you start doing jump lunges!! uugghh
  • I've done Level 3, Day 2 and it is AMAZING! The moves are just superb, so so tough, but a great change. I'm looking forward to finishing the program! Great going ladies!
  • I'm switching out early again. Level 3 tonight for me. Level 2's outlived it's welcome :) and I HATE plank jump-in's (or whatever they're called). I could do plank jacks last night though. More than half way!!!
  • That is AMAZING!! congratulations :) you're a lovely looking couple! :)
  • You are amazing. Inspiring!! And if most of us here could understand and live according to what you've written, we'd have won all our battles already.
  • Day 5 of Level 2 done and it feels amazing! I still get a 200calorie burn each time I do it. I'm starting to do more Natalie than Anita which is a push. But shin splints are killing me so I'm going to replace the cardio with floor cycling for the rest of the shred. It sucks, but my legs are more important :). Well done…
  • Haha! I love this post. The two do become one ladies... The top belly goes first, and then the bottom one sticks around for a while. I never had huge bellies, but the top one has now disappeared after 2 weeks of the Jillian Michaels shred! Bottom one remains and looks likely to go when I hit 52kgs.
  • Wow that's amazing!! I haven't dared measure inches because i'm scared I'l get demotivated if I don't see numbers shift. It is definitely one level up on 2! Ridonculous for the first few days, but gets better. Congrats, and hang in there!
  • Ladies, in case anyone is interested. I bought an HRM and my 30DS Level 2 Day 3 was coming out at 194 calories for 26 mins (including warm up and cool down). The 'Circuit training' field on MFP was VERY accurate in measuring this for me.
  • Just get back on it. And adding a few days seems a good idea. I did that the last time I did this DVD. It helps. But try not to move to level 2 before you're ready because I did and it hurts!" :)
  • No I thought I was going mad but I felt that too. Her program really is amazing. I think if you stick it out for 10 days in each level you'll reach levels of fitness that make the next level seem easier in some bits and harder in others. Level 1 was tougher cardio. Level 2 feels tougher on the abs and arms.
  • Bow to you! Such a wonderful story. A brilliantly written post and such motivation! With that attitude you will get to 350 in NO time and nothing will stop you. I don't even know you and I'm proud of you! :)
  • Don't worry about this! Keep pushing! The first time I did 30DS 6 months ago I was in exactly this position. The point is not to try and finish the entire thing and be comfortable with the level in 10 days. You can do it for longer if you want. Move on when you're ready or if you get bored. Each level will be tougher and…
  • I got shin splints too!! I thought I was landing right. What other way is there to do a star jump and land?!?! Anyway, my rest day on Sunday helped a lot with this, and yesterday I did 30DS again. I'm going to continue doing that 20mins everyday, but I've stopped my running in the gym. I think that was really taking it out…
  • Good to hear you're finding it easier - gives me hope. I can't do the cardio for as long as she wants us to. And I'm following Anita for most of it. But Day 3 today so fingers crossed.
  • I switched to level 2 early. After day 6 of level 1 I started level 2 but only because my boyfriend is leaving in 3 weeks and he wanted to spend the full 10 days on levels 2 and 3. I can't say I was finding 1 easy, but I was able to complete the 20min circuit. Level 2 was a whole new level of pain. I do think doing all of…
  • 3 times a week I add in 30 extra mins of cardio - 10mins cycling, 10 mins treadmill and 10mins xtrainer. And by the end of that, I'm POOPED!
  • Beautifully written. Inspirational!
  • Hello! I can't guage anything about your current measurements, size etc from your profile. Do you have only 4.7 pounds to lose???? I've felt like this sometimes, when you hate what you see in the mirror. But if you give a bit more info about your current size, weight, exercise regime, calorie intake, then there's plenty of…
  • I'm thinking of buying this as it's just £4.99 on Amazon. Bit nervous though as never ever done a fitness dvd before so don't know if this might be really jumping in at the deep end! I have a lot of weight to lose though so maybe that's a good thing. 30DS is a REALLY good place to start! She's a monster, and you'll scream…
  • I'd love to see answers to this. I want to be doing strength training too but not sure where to start. The one thing I do which is great is the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. It has 3 sets of 3 minute serious strength moves. Maybe steal those and just do that.. they are SUPER effective.
  • QUOTE: Hello yesterday was my first day also. I thought I would die trying to do jumping jacks and then the jump rope was the hardest for me. But I will hang in there. Oh i know what you mean! But yes, we can do this!!! Hang in there... I hate the jump rope too, but if you feel like taking a break, then instead of jumping…
  • Well done all!! :) Last night was Day 4 for me, and I'm starting to feel the difference in my stamina. I could do both sets of push ups! Not perfectly, but I didn't stop! Cardio's getting easier. But my left shin really hurts near the bone. I think I need some muscular gel. I will not let that stop me though! My starting…
  • Wow ladies.. I feel like I might be underestimating my burns big time! I don't have an HRM but when I put in 'circuit training' on MFP it gives me a 149 calorie burn. I'm 5'5, 124lbs. I'm going to buy my HRM now!! :)
  • Thank you all so so much! Really helpful advice! I'm not going to try and kick my own butt anymore :) but will instead focus on form, and keep up doing the distances. I think I need to life my feet more anyway, because I'm not seeing enough fat loss on my stomach and arms. Your assumptions are right - I have stopped…
  • Hey, I know you say that you can't do 30DS yet, but Jillian does talk about how her exercises are for everyone. Do you think you might want to try just one session of it and see how far you go? You don't have to finish in 30 days, you could do it for 3 months if you want. I just thin kit's really effective, and very…
  • I'd like to try. Is there a group to join? I have a gym in my building and am doing the 30 Day Shred through september.
