I get Women's Health, Shape, and Fitness. I only got Shape because it was $6 for a year...so I figured why not? I love Women's Health and Fitness...they have great articles, awesome recipes, and fantatstic workouts. I feel like Shape is just a fluff magazine...75% Cosmo, 25% health-related info. If the subscription you're…

I'm on the same boat as you, unfortunately :ohwell: What I find helps is keepingg busy...reading, going for a walk, talking on the phone, running errands, going to the gym :glasses:...as long as I stay focused throughout the day, I'm usually pretty good with the emotional eating. Journaling helps too...we eat our emotions…

I did one if Michigan this past August. At every obstacle, there are people there to help you through. You can also go around the obstacles if you don't feel safe, etc... The cargo net wall is just that...a cargo net you climb over. The wall with a rope had places on the wall to place your feet I think the last wall you…

I don't think the OP meant: "RAWR! WOMEN NEED TO LOOK LIKE THIS BECAUSE I SAY SO! I'M A MAN AND ALL WOMEN SHOULD BE HOW I WANT THEM!" He's saying that's what he likes. Woop-dee-doo If you're offended that you aren't particularly his "type," then maybe you need to readjust your "ALL MEN SHOULD LIKE HOW I LOOK" mentality

That is fantastic! I've started that DVD a few times, but never actually finished it. I've been looking for some sort of weight routine to do while I train for a race, and I think this might be it :)

I am doing Hal Higdon's Novice I training plan right now. You can just Google it and it'll show up...I have done the Chicago marathon twice and am training for the Glasscity marathon in April. I think one of the most important things is to start off slow...no need to rush into things. Take walk breaks when you need them.…

24 years old in a week! EEK! Lol

I am almost the same stats as you. I'm 5' 5" and I usually weigh anywhere between 140-146ish. I also have a hard time with avoiding sweets and junk...but I do also workout 4-6 days a week. BUT, I find I start seeing results if I eat healthier AND exercise (which does include lifting weights) I have been exercising but not…

I love how no one really does anything for a while...or at least it seems like it. How can you NOT be freaking out after seeing that happen to your friend?? I sure wouldn't want to be the next one in line!

Thank you!

She has a DVD called "Killer Buns and Thighs"...sounds perfect for what you are looking for!

I used to do 30 min cardio before eating and it didn't bother me...recently, I've been eating before exercising. Now, when I'm at work, I find the only way I will 100% get my workout in is if I do it in the morning about 6am, but I know I won't get up before that to really eat much of anything before working out, so we'll…

The whole website looks pretty good...thank you!

I agree that it is a fantastic workout...after doing it for a month 2-3 times a week, I was as sore as if I were lifting heavy weights, etc...but it was a good sore haha.

I've always been interested in yoga...did it for about 2 months last fall but the place I used to go closed :( Once I figure out my financial situation, there's a place I want to check out and I will hopefully get back into it

I'm 5'5" and am looking to lose about 10 pounds, but not really concentrating so much on the weight but making sure I get my training runs in for a marathon I am hopefully running in April! After that, I'd like to focus on doing some interval workouts and building muscle

I'm turning 24 next week, but always love getting new friend requests and having that extra support! MFP is an awesome tool!
