Thank you very much for the reply! I've been tracking for about 2 weeks now and have been doing better than I thought I would since I've never tried hitting certain macros before. I've consistently been hitting around my allotted cal intake minus 2-3 days, but it wasn't off by an enormous amount. I think I will learn a lot…

Sorry for such a BELATED reply (I fell off the MFP wagon there for a while). But thank you so much for your responses! I may just check out Lee Labrada's workout program. So far, I've been searching by body part to either find full workouts to try or just ideas for different exercises to do. I would love to have a program…

The issue I've had with syncing the 2 together is that MFP will add the exercise calories to what I've already eaten. Shouldn't it SUBTRACT that calories from what I've already eaten? I spent those calories, I didn't eat them. It's frustrating when I'm trying to figure out how many calories I have left...

I use my Jawbone UP to track my workouts and cals from them and even though the only movement it shows is how many steps you took during that workout, you can still select what kind of workout and the intensity of it. It adjusts calories accordingly. I've never had a issue with doing it this way except for syncing it with…

Oh wow, I thought I was lifting great until I read some of what you ladies are capable of! (I'm not shaming myself...I know everyone starts somewhere! And what I'm lifting now is heavy for me and that's what counts, right?) Dumbbell shoulder press: 15lb each hand (3x12) Barbell squat: just hit 85lb last time I did legs!!…

I was just thinking of this yesterday morning when I made a tofu scramble. Obviously, that wouldn't be for you, but there aren't very many protein-rich vegan breakfast ideas! It seems that a protein shake would be the way to go...maybe add some oats and pb in there for added protein!

Thanks Ruby!

Just found this group today and thought it was dead too but knew it wouldn't hurt to make a post. I'm newly vegan at the beginning of this year and not looking to make competition-worthy changes, but I do want to lean out and gain some and just go from there...who knows! I am interested in vegan supplements and nutrition…

Ever since I stopped eating meat, eggs, and most dairy, I feel WONDERFUL. I don't feel sluggish after I eat and I lost about 10 pounds without trying. It feels great to replace those junk foods with more fruits and vegetables and get all those yummy nutrients! I'm constantly trying new recipes even though half of them are…

Thank you! All great replies...I really like the HALT acronym because I KNOW I eat when I am lonely and/or bored. I'll put these distractions to good use next time

I need new friends too to help keep me accountable! Add sent :)

Love this, thank you!

Taking a walk is a great idea...I have a ton of podcasts I've been wanting to listen to  Thank you!

I always want to do the workouts I see in magazines but always find an excuse like how one of the moves is weird or incorporates a piece of equipment I don't like :embarassed: How're you liking the workouts? I like Fitness mag over several similar magazines geared toward women.

I got into yoga for about 2 months at this great, small studio, but they went out of business :frown: Now, I'm unable to afford to pay for any classes, but I would like to purchase some DVDs (even though I know the best way is to go to an actual class) Anyone have any suggestions?

Yay! Great job and keep it up!!

Sounds like a great workout!

You can really tell the difference! Great job!

Hi AddieBee, using this site will help you a lot! It only gets easier from here on out
-
This site is great! Lots of support and motivation, you'll do great
-
Thanks for the support guys! My main focus is training for a half-marathon, not necessarily to lose weight or anything...but I do realize the importance of getting ENOUGH food and the right nutrients...I might log for a few weeks then take a break for a week or two.
-
Lol yes, I like the forum, and the community/website in general. I like how this website is for all kinds of goals, exercise, and people (it's not soley about running, weightlifting, or yoga, etc...) I occasionally will track calories for a few weeks, then just kinda stop...I'll lose interest.

You look great! Awesome job

Start fresh with your next meal! I've definitely had days where I just do not start off right and I feel like crap: no motivation, no healthy foods, just nothing. But you can make small changes to your day that will make you feel better if you're feeling bad about the day or something.

Hi Harrietlg! I'm 24 and 5'5"...I'm currently training for a half marathon and working on getting into the habit of weight lifting. Feel free to add me!

Oh, and how is Self magazine? I've always been curiou about it, but I get so many magazines as it is.
