  • I love the Dukan diet because it actually works!! I did it four years ago and lost 1st 10lbs. I've kept it off too and it's changed my way of thinking about food. I eat very differently now. Recently though I have got back into some bad habits.....mainly too much chocolate.....so I decided to have another go! I don't have…
  • I do think it's really important to make sure that you're getting kettlebell techniques right and I love my classes. I'm in Surrey and these are the classes I go to - www.kettlegirls.co.uk. I'm pretty sure I have seen London classes advertised on Facebook and Twitter so I'd just try and Google search and see what you come…
  • Well impressive!!! I do like snatches but haven't progressed from an 8KG. I do some double-armed swings, squats etc with a 12KG now but not snatches!!
  • I use an Omron too - great way of tracking not only weight but body fat % and BMI too. I do kettlebell training and because I am building strength and muscle my weight may well go up but my body fat % might come down which is why I bought it. I think it's a much better estimate of how healthy you are - there's no point…

  • Thanks everyone - really helpful! I'll chat to my kettlebell instructor too when the time comes and see what she suggests!
  • I am not currently pregnant but hoping to be in the not too distant future and definitely want to stay as fit and healthy as possible. I currently do two kettlebell classes a week and try to do another couple of workouts at home. I have seen lots of books and DVDs on fitness during pregnancy on Amazon which I might buy but…
  • I love this game. So apparently I remind someone of Monica from Friends - she's quite a bit older than me but what the heck....I can definitely live with that!! Definitely helps my with body confidence and overall self-confidence!! Now....the person above reminds me a bit of Sharon Stone....
  • That's fab!! I'm just getting started with a 12KG. This week in our class was a great workout and easy to do at home......and it was the first time I got the whole way through the class with a 12KG so I was chuffed with that too!!! If anyone fancies trying it the workout was: 5 sets of the following routine: - 20 x KB…

  • The Kettlercise ones are pretty good but next on my list to get is Kettlebell Bombshell - Lisa Balash. Good to have some variety rather than using the same DVDs all the time!
  • I LOVE kettlebells! I've been going to two classes a week now for about 3 years and always try to do at least one extra workout a week at home. You do see results really quickly and it's pretty addictive. When I started I never imagined I'd be able to swing an 8kg and now I'm starting to use 12kg bells! You do feel it and…
  • I don't attend these classes but I attend two kettlebell classes a week and have a Kettlercise DVD which I do at home in between. I just add my kettlebell workouts as cardio and used this calorie calculator to work out roughly how many calories I burned off: http://www.acaloriecalculator.com/calories-burned-calculator/…
  • Hi. I don't lift as such but I do love kettlebells! I go to classes twice a week and try to do at least one home workout a week too. I've even managed to get my other half into it too - I've never enjoyed exercise so much! :)
  • wow - will definitely have to give these a go!!! Sound scrummy!!
  • Lovely to find lots of fellow Dukaneers!! I lost 1 stone 10lbs on Dukan three years ago and managed to keep it off but over Christmas and ever since I've had far too many meals out and things so have got into a few bad habits again......mainly chocolate!! ;) So....for Lent this year rather than giving up something specific…
  • Hi! I love kettlebells and have been swinging for about 3 years now. I posted this routine recently and it's great to do at home. There are some snatches but you could easily swap these for another exercise: We were introduced to this in our KB classes but it's a great workout to do at home. Set a timer for 20 mins -…
  • Yep - great workout! Hmm....press ups? You might call them push ups? Plank position and then bend your elbows and lower yourself towards the ground and back again. Not sure if that's a great explanation!!
  • Certainly might give this a try. 4-5 weeks would be perfect for when I go away and I want to feel body confident in a bikini by then!! I don't know about 16kg though! I have recently started working with a 12kg in classes but only have an 8kg at home. I reckon if I do this with an 8kg as well as my classes twice a week it…
  • I have oatbran porridge. Two tablespoons plus a sprinkling of sweetener and cinnamon (or any flavouring you want to add), some skimmed milk and then just 1 min in the microwave, stir and then another 45 secs or so. Yummy and filling too!
  • I go to KB classes but bought a couple of DVDs to do at home in between or when I'm unable to attend. I bought "Kettlercise - Just for Women" which is pretty good. A cheaper one is "Ten Minute Solutions - Kettlebell Ultimate Fat Burner". That one is good because it has five 10 minute workouts which you can either do one at…
  • I'm generally quite good at sticking to the 1200 calories during the week but it's always the weekend that catches me out! During the week I take lunches to work and plan our meals whilst also doing two kettlebell classes a week and on one other night in the week doing an exercise DVD. Then....the weekend comes and we'll…
  • Hi My name's Katie and I have an addiction.....kettlebells!!! I have been doing two classes a week now for about 3 years and absolutely love it. I have never been able to stick to any sort of exercise and certainly never enjoyed it until now. The results speak for themselves. Kettlebells are still relatively new in the UK…
