Three weeks ago my doctor called with some test results that I had done. I was expecting her to tell me that I was diabetic...instead she tells me that I'm borderline diabetic and what shocked me was...severely Vitamin D deficient. She has put me on RX Vitamin D for the next eight weeks I have to take 50,000 IUD once a…

ABSOLUTELY!! The couch to 5K gets you from walking to running...it's awesome. There is also a book called Run Your Butt Off that follows the same concept. I bought mine online for like $8.00. I actually like it better than the C25K... Good luck to you!!!

A couple of weeks ago, I bought "Not My Mama's Table" by Bobby Dean. It has alittle bit of everything in it and so far...I love it!

GOOD FOR YOU!!! GREAT job!!!! I walked 3 5K's last year between March and October. Fastest time walking was 49 minutes (with an upper respiratory infection). I will be running my first 5K on my 43rd birthday in June. Excited and scared to death. Congratulations on your accomplishment!!! Keep checking things off that…

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 1998 at which time I weighed over 300 pounds. I took the meds but didn't change my life style...A few years ago, I quit the meds (not recommended) and starting exercising and counting calories. I have lost 60 pounds. I still have almost 100 to go but I find that the birth control pills regulate…

I live in the sticks and drive 22 minutes to get to the closest gym! You gotta do what you gotta do =D

I am reading a book called Run Your Butt Off...loving it! It's kind of like the C25K program. But it gives you all these helpful hints and stuff. Its by some of the people from Running World magazine. I highly recommend picking up a copy for yourself. I got mine from amazon (used, hardback, in great shape) for $8.00...just…

I am 5'11" and started at my highest weight I wan in a size 28 at 320 pounds, maybe more (I wouldn't get on a scale). When I started MFP I was 288 in a size 24. I am currently in a size 20 at 260. They, like yours, are baggy. I can get into a size 18 and once they stretch, they are fine but I don't simply because they are…

I am from the south...where sweetened (an understatement) iced tea is as common as breathing. I use to drink a gallon of it alone a day! I did cut it out cold turkey for about two years. I have recently allowed myself to enjoy a glass a night (sweetened with Splenda) with dinner....if I have met my water quota for the day.

She may want to try to cut her calories a little more than yours. Also watch portion sizes. Its a proven fact that men lose weight easier than women...she may need to just work at it a little harder. Not fare, but it is what it is...

Schnauzer poodle mix?
-
Miniature Schnauzer. I did my homework before getting him. I wanted a small breed dog, with minimum shedding. I wanted a good lap dog but loyal and protective. "Gibbs" is all of those things. He was a GREAT choice for my family. However...the miniature part....well....he's 23 pounds and a bit taller than miniatures are…

I just put chicken breast or thighs (skinless and boneless) in the crock pot and cover with the salsa. cook on low while you're at work. If I forget to put it in the crockpot, I cook it in an iron skillet with a lid and it turns out just as good! Served with some rice, veggies and homemade tortillas

My all time favorite.... To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee Love the character Atticus Finch so much that I named my dog after him...always believing in the good in people and not letting others bully him into their way of thinking. He was a fare man and what a great dad. Teaching his children and loving them as all…

IF you finish-you succeed!!! I walked my first 5K in April and have done two more since then. And I don't even walk every day. My weight is a couple pounds more than yours. Just pace yourself...you will have moments when you think that you can not do it-just press on, it will pass and you'll get a second wind. They are a…

if you are sure that there is someone he is already seeing, take my grandmothers advice..."If they do it with you, they will do it TO you". If he ends that relationship prior to you, that is different, but asking you out while involved with someone else still leads me to a cheater....just say no girl. You deserve better!
