14 weeks and I'm honestly too scared to weigh myself lol. I guess I'll have to face the music at my next OB appointment (at 16 weeks) I'm sure a lot of the weight you've gained is just bloat, and if your pregnancy is like mine, constipation (sorry for the TMI)

LOL i was just about to say--how are you eating so healthy?? You must be one of the few lucky ones that doesn't get nausea! Hope your nausea gets better soon!
-
Woo hoo! September mamas! My first baby is due the Sept 11 (hopefully the baby wont come on that date!)I had such terrible nausea and sickness the first trimester (I went to the ER for dehydration and have been taking anti-neausea meds which are amazing) that I'm just happy to be eating again! My eating plan is still…

Thank you! I guess it just seems like so much food and I'm already gaining weight! Ah! I just have to tell myself it's baby--not fat!
-
yes!!! I've been looking for an MFP pregnancy group but couldn't find a very active one. thank you!

Yup! I've lost 20 lbs eating absolutely whatever I want. Just as long as I was under my calorie goal. It also prevents junk food binges because you don't feel deprived. I eat healthy most of the time but I allow myself treats because they taste good :)

Thank you for this! I already talked to my doctor--They basically told me to eat healthy (vegetables, protein, fruit, healthy carbs, etc which i already knew) and they did tell me I need to eat more (duh) but didn't really give me a calorie number or how much more so it wasn't that helpful. I can't afford a nutritionist…

Also, I don't eat breakfast before the gym. I just drink coffee and go. that's what works for me.

What do you do for breakfast? Various things. Sometimes I'll make a protein shake the night before, or I'll have a protein bar, or a peanut butter sandwich, or I'll make overnight oats and just eat it when I get to work (If you've never heard of overnight oats, look up a recipe. I make them all the time) What is your…

It sure is possible. Calories in vs. calories out. The problem with me is that when I eat junk my blood sugar goes all over the place and causes me to want to eat more , so I try to eat things that make my blood sugar stable

Dragon wolf--I consume almost no soy.

I'm trying not to but just failed miserably at work. I'll try my best.

What is finally working for me: 1) Yasmin birth control. I was hesitant to take it but I have lost about 10 lbs since I started taking it. I also have noticed a little less hair growth (i'm still hairy though!) 2) Hot yoga. Something about sweating that much really helps me relax and I get a decent workout (depending on…

Hi WorkinProgress. Thanks for saying I'm a skinny PCOSer. I think the only way that I'm not very overweight is that I started working out/eating right in my teens. It takes A LOT of work to keep my weight down. It definitely doesn't come naturally to me
-
Don't get discouraged! You're doing all the right things--weight loss just happens slow for us!! Also, the scale sucks, especially if you're working out a lot. I'm a hefty 153 lbs, which sometimes makes me feel bad, but it's about MEASUREMENTS and how your clothes fit! Remember, the most important thing is controlling PCOS…

Thanks guys. I know I've heard of the side effects too, but I'm generally a very healthy person and never had any health problems, other than PCOS. It's just the other forms of birth control I don't really want to do , and I think Yasmin really helps with PCOS side effects. I tried another BC pill and it was TERRIBLE. I…

Ok for some reason it got cut off. Continued: but my doctor is thinking Yaz. Has anybody had experience with either and wants to share their thoughts? Thanks! I've tried the Nuva ring and didn't like it. And I'm scared of IUD's
-
Thanks for the answer! That's what i thought too. Yes, I believe I am insulin resistant due my battles with weight for most of my life and having PCOS. My doctor won't prescribe it though because I already have my period. I guess I should try seeing someone else.

I have thick, coarse hair on my chin and neck, and fine ones all over my face. I also have hair on my boobs (lucky me lol) , stomach, and hairy arms. Laser never worked on me. It was just expensive and the hair regrew. Electrolysis kind of worked, but boy was it painful. I felt like I was punishing myself for being hairy.…

You're doing great!! Impressive!

Thanks guys. It was a wayyyy over day. About 2000 calories. I stress ate. Oops. So I guess I'll fast another day
-
I do fasted cardio pretty much everyday, on fast days and non fast days. The fasting days honestly don't make much of a difference in my performance.
-
I am trying to eat at maintenance calories. It's just I'm sooo hungry the day after a fast and can eat anything in sight, and then I think, "oh well, I went over calories" and eat more. I think planning my food for the next day is a definite must.
-
I have 2 fast days. On Tuesdays and Thursdays

He's super cool! I just added him as a friend! He's the best :D :D :D

I used to take it but it apparently can affect your kidneys, and my doctor ran some routine tests to see how my kidneys were doing on spiro, and the tests came back abnormal. So he told me to stop taking it immediately. The hair symptoms of PCOS are nothing compared to kidney failure
-
Thanks for the response! I would rather go the slow route because I've lost weight fast before and I just gain it back. I feel like the .5 lb loss gives me the option of not over obsessing with exercise/ diet
