  • Not gonna happen, Robert! You are much better looking than Drew Carey! (and no, I am not flirting, just saying it like it is!)
  • All the loose skin, and the wrinkles that my face will get when there is no fat left in my face to fill them out!! :ohwell:
  • You are so tiny now! I appreciate you posting your progress pics. It is really inspiring! You look fantastic, keep up the good work!!
  • You look AWESOME!! Keep up the good work!!
  • Hello! Good for you for going through with the gastric bypass! I was supposed to have it a couple years ago, but there was a small issue and it got cancelled. By the time they cleared me for it, I had chickened out!! Big step!! But you can do it!
  • Hi there! A word of advise, do not go behind his back. One of the worst things in the world for a relationship is lying or having secrets. Things like that have a way of biting you in the butt!. Be honest with him. The decision is ultimately yours, but why not post pics with nice fitting clothes instead of a bikini?…
  • Friend request on the way!!
  • You are pretty amazing Rachel! To see the weight you have lost is such and inspiration! I'd like to see some before pics sometime, Your current pics are great! You are a beautiful young woman, inside and out!!
  • I agree wholeheartedly, spinaddict4life! I started out over 300 lbs, so my first goal was to just get below 300. then my next below the 90's, then 80's and so forth. Makes it seems much more do-able!!
  • Welcome to MFP! You have come to the right site! The support here surpasses anything or anywhere else I have tried! The people here are AMAZING!! You are right in doing this for yourself! Just use this site daily, even if you slip up a little, it helps just logging everything you eat! No one here will judge you, we are all…
  • I don't count regular housework since it is something that is "expected" to be done. But I would count yard work, that is not an everyday type of work and I doubt the MFP would consider that in figuring everyday calories. I try to only count calories if it is above what I normally would do BEFORE MFP. But I think it's ok…
  • I try to stay between 1200 and 1350 cal a day. I don't eat back my exercise cals, that way the weight will come off a little quicker. As long as you eat 1200 calories, you don't need to worry about starvation mode. Also, the more you have to lose the faster it tends to come off, and vice versa. But don't get discouraged,…
  • Welcome Back!!! That's an awesome weight loss! I understand how you feel, when my scales read over 300 I almost died!!! Now, 34 lbs later I feel soooo much better. It's funny, (not really) I used to be one of those people who would look at someone who was overweight and say, "Look at that! I'd NEVER let myself get so…
  • Hi Mand74! You won't regret joining MFP! There are some AWESOME people on here who are sooo inspirational! But first, don't think of this as a diet, diets don't work. It is a lifestyle change. There's no looking back from this point on, girl! You just made a friend! Request on its way!

  • I looked up why water is so important so I would not sound like an idiot, even though I know the reasons, I do not always put things into words well. I actually learned more than I knew so, hope this helps! yes, it's true that salt can cause you to retain fluids, fluid build up can happen anywhere in your body including…
  • WOW! Congratulations! What an inspiration you are! I started out at 308 and am down 28 lbs, and I will admit, at times it seems like a long journey! But it will all be worth it! WOW! All I can say it: JOB WELL DONE!!! Keep up the good work!
  • Hello Claudette, I also have about 150 lbs to lose so I understand what you are talking about. This is a great site for support! Friend request on it's way!

  • MFP works because people pull together to support each other no matter which method they use to lose weight. I haven't gone on a diet, I have just gone to having smaller portions of the things I do eat, and MFP is a good place to keep track of the calories you are taking in and using up with exercise. If I have a…

  • When I first started to lose, I was never hungry! I felt so full I didn't even want to look at food! (lol~go figure) but my appetite did come back and I try to eat all my meals. sometimes it seems impossible to get all my calories, I try to get at least 1200, but no more than 1380. You shouldn't skip meals, but maybe eat…
  • WOO HOO!!!!!!! Great job! Keep it up!
  • Yep! Long Haul here! Friend request on the way!!
  • Happy Birthday from Maine, Little Miss!! Hope you have a terrific day!! :-)
  • WOW! You guys are really inspiring! My SW was 308. CW is 284! Like to reach 150 eventually, but for now just going for 10 lbs at a time. It's slow going, but seeing what you have all done, I know I can do this!! Thanks to you all for posting!
  • Welcome to MFP! This site has been a big help to me, so I believe you've come to the right place! Good luck in your journey to fitness and health!
  • Also, don't think of it as a diet, that will kill it every time...It's a lifestyle change, and that can work. You can get all the support you need here. I'm sending you a friend request so I can follow your progress. Good luck and God Bless! PS. I think You are beautiful NOW!!
  • That really burns me!! Tell your Boyfriend that my husband married me while I was fat! It takes a good man to look past a womans "Looks and size"!! I'd leave him behind with all those pounds you are going to shed! You can do better!!!!!!!!!!!
  • For now I am just focusing on short term goals. Each goal is to get under the next 10 pound mark! Then when I get down some (alot) I will focus on where exactly I should be. As a teen I weighed 135, but as a woman in her 50's, that may not be reasonable. So for now, just 10 lbs at a time!! Good luck!!
  • First off, don't let him sabatage your efforts with his negativity! You can do this! I would actually do it just to prove him wrong, but hey, you are here for you. Let your fiance know that you are doing this for you, and if he can't be supportive then don't say anything at all!! There will be times when you get…
  • I agree with mbowman323, if you haven't already applied for foodstamps, make that a priority to do. There is no shame in asking for help! I work at a food pantry, don't be shy to ask them for something like Peanut butter if you don't see it out. Sometimes we have things that don't make it out for whatever reason, but if…
  • Welcome to MFP! This is a good place to be when you are serious about changing habits and getting on track! I have started so many "diets" and failed from lack of support...this site has helped me alot! Even just reading about others journey. Good luck to you!
