Hello! Good for you for going through with the gastric bypass! I was supposed to have it a couple years ago, but there was a small issue and it got cancelled. By the time they cleared me for it, I had chickened out!! Big step!! But you can do it!

I agree wholeheartedly, spinaddict4life! I started out over 300 lbs, so my first goal was to just get below 300. then my next below the 90's, then 80's and so forth. Makes it seems much more do-able!!

I don't count regular housework since it is something that is "expected" to be done. But I would count yard work, that is not an everyday type of work and I doubt the MFP would consider that in figuring everyday calories. I try to only count calories if it is above what I normally would do BEFORE MFP. But I think it's ok…

I try to stay between 1200 and 1350 cal a day. I don't eat back my exercise cals, that way the weight will come off a little quicker. As long as you eat 1200 calories, you don't need to worry about starvation mode. Also, the more you have to lose the faster it tends to come off, and vice versa. But don't get discouraged,…

When I first started to lose, I was never hungry! I felt so full I didn't even want to look at food! For now I am just focusing on short term goals. Each goal is to get under the next 10 pound mark! Then when I get down some (alot) I will focus on where exactly I should be.
